Went to Thompson’s Framing because several friends recommended it. I live in Buckhead so it was a little bit out of the way. Very, very happy with decision. I had 5 watercolor/oil paintings framed, and they are all perfect. And they were ready in a few days(plus I paid much less than what I typically pay). So glad I tried Thompson’s; I have found my new framer. Excellent!

As one of many blessed folks out there with expensive art, I HAD been using various different places…(never go to Michael’s, Kirkland’s, Hobby Lobby, etc. for anything or any reason… they push alleged convenience, lower«coupon day» price points, and I ended up with ugly framed art that was poorly conceived, assembled and delivered. That may be ok for the many who just really don’t know any top quality framers with a good eye for framing and matting and glassing suggestions… AND(very) fair pricing, AND a TOP quality product(which is why I spend money on art I like in the first place… to look terrific, especially when it looks like a million dollar work at the High Museum when THEY finish with it. I only heard of this slightly out of the way ultra specialty frame shop(which is kind of by itself in the outlying parking lot area kinda sorta by Publix and Petland on Johnson Ferry Road in East Cobb and a referral from a kind lady from The Cobb Antique Mart who KNOWS what she is talking about. I was kind of wondering why she KEPT going on about this kinda obscure(NOT within a big mall or MAJOR strip center), whether she had a financial interest in the place even. NO, she doesn’t and YES, she does know what she is talking about. How do I know that she knows what she is talking about? because for PRICE, STYLE, CUSTOMERSERVICE, and just a damn good group of talented folks there from Laura the manager to EVERYBODY else there. They make EVERYTHING that I work so hard for to collect, really, honestly and for true look like a million dollars. You will not need a second mortgage to use them(like VARIOUS lesser concerns) or ever have to be concerned about the quality and the style suggested(Like, again, VARIOUS lesser concerns). If you have a signed Robert Motherwell lithograph, or anything similar, you have absolutely nothing to fear going there. You will get the BEST: price, suggestions, and, ultimately, a DAZZLING finished product that really does look BETTER than the High Museum stuff(well, SOMEOFIT anyway), and yes, your kids can still go off to college after you leave the frameshop… with an incredible work of art, BRILLIANTLYFRAMED, with the best stuff(museum glass if you want it $$$, or «just» uv protected glass), in a conservative yet contemporary style that most folks like(I sure do!!!). Laura the Manager is tops in my book, and she only has people working for you that care as much about and usually even more than u do. I would ultimately say that after MANY disappointments, I am so thrilled with these people that no matter what I need framed, matted and glass, I could almost just send it over without ANY suggestions, and you jaw would still hit the floor when you received it back. Looking fabulous, NOT spending a King’s Ransom for their services, and in fact considering scheduling the piece with an insurance carrier… if only because it will look so damn good when you get it back. I have NO financial interest in the place, just a very healthy interest in art(Thompson’s has traditional vet VERY ecclectic tastes, as most of us with a desire to own expensive art tend to share. BUT, if you go to Laura at Thompson’s, you WILL get top flight products and services, fair pricing and quick turnaround.

You will not find a finer place to do your framing. Laura is beyond priceless. Found them thru a recommendation some 4 years ago and have gone no where else since. They do amazing work, have an unparalleled selection and most importantly they will go above and beyond to assist you to match your artwork with the best frames and mattes. Forget Michaels or any other ‘big box’ stores for your framing… Thompson outshines them all!

The service I received at Thompson’s was exceptional! I had a letter and picture framed together for about $ 90 which is comparable to other stores I checked out. More importantly was the service after I received the framing. I wasn’t very happy with the arrangement at first. It wasn’t their work, they did exactly what I asked, but it just didn’t feel right. The letter was from a friend who was killed in Iraq. One of those«sucks I am dead but thanks for being my friend» ones. Since it was so important I called them back to ask if I could get it changed. The girl at Thompson’s actually thanked me for calling back. She said that she did not like it either and asked if I would let her«be creative» with it. I said yes and was very glad I did. They went all out and made the piece into something I will be able to give to my grandchildren one day. There was no cost for the reframing and in fact I think they upgraded several of the pieces as well.

A while ago I was struggling with finding a place to reframe my awesome space jam poster. My dad recommended this spot and let me say they did a great job, bugs and MJ are looking fresher than ever. They also had inexpensive premade 5×7 frames in more styles than Target where I usually go for those. As framing stores go this one is awesome!
