The pizza is undeniably good. However the service sucks! Maybe it’s because they have a bunch of kids working there, but they need to send them to Chick Fil A for training! They can really learn some good customer service from them. Pizza is good and you can build your own or pick an signature pizza. I just can’t deal with the poor customer service. I stood at the counter for 3 minutes while a young lady(who never greeted me) stood there wiping down the sauce bottles. Crazy! How about you recognize that you have a customer and continue wiping the bottles after you have serviced your customer.

this place used to be good when they first opened but they’ve gone to crap at this point. Pizza was burnt and salad was nasty with old igredients. Staff is very unfriendly. Stay away from this place.

Not so great service tonight. I don’t know why. Perhaps the Sunday crew does not have a manager supervising or on holidays you should not expect much — but when you order a ToGo order, you are expecting fast service. Asking them for our order after more than 20minutes is not what I wanted to do. Let’s just say that after eating a slice — my husband noted that the crust tasted raw. Having not the time to look up, I asked him to take it back because we all know that crust is made with eggs and raw eggs like E. Coli(ask Chipotle what E. Coli is). Sanitation here is starting to look atrocious. The pizza bakers are touching money with the same gloves as they are touching your food. What else could they be doing? Maybe the Health Inspector does not know — but at least I do.

I don’t eat out much but I was willing to try this place cause Johnny’s was closed New Year’s day and I was already out. The pizza was OK being that they’re using impinger ovens. The two salad’s we ordered were good but I thought they were a bit pricey, nevertheless nice salads. I don’t feel myself being drawn back there for pizza alone. Store was clean and friendly service but perhaps a bit on the slow side. Maybe new employees? Hangovers? $ 29 for two salad’s and med pizza, perhaps a sign of the times.

Really great, fresh, custom pies with about 40 different options for crust, sauce and toppings including tofu, wheat crust, gluten free, and THREE kids of mushrooms! And gorganzola salad dressing. Yum! On Mondays you can get a 9″ pizza with three toppings for only $ 5.99. I think the pizzas are a lot like Mellow Mushroom but at a much lower cost. Everyone who works here is very friendly. I know this is a chain, so mock me if you will, but the food is legit. And budget friendly.

Once again, they messed up our order! They have a very confusing system that requires multiple, poorly trained employees to enter and repeat your order. It is like a game of ‘telephone’! By the time your order makes it through the three people, it is totally wrong! Anyone else experienced this?

I wanted to try Maddios for the first time tonight but when we pulled in at 9:25 p.m. the place looked closed. The open sign was turned off and the chairs were up. According to their website and the sign on the door they were suppose to be open until 10:00 p.m. I’ve worked in restaurants and know it is rude to come in late but for a fast casual type of place that I heard Maddio’s was I thought coming in at 9:25 gave them plenty of time to to make us a pizza to take home and be no problem with the staff. Because we drove a little out of the way to eat there, we decided on La Madeline who was more than happy to serve us.

Santa Fe Chicken Salad was very fresh and delicious! Lots of cilantro, some good corn salsa and a zingy ranch dressing. On Mondays they have an individual sized 9″ three-topping pizza for $ 5.99 Took one star off because there was a lot of noise from kids.

Love this place because you can get what you want on your pizza and the kids can get their cheese pizza or pepperoni pizza’s.

No more! We walked in and noticed that the Maddios Meal is now only available during lunch hours and with a price increase. That is all this place is worth. All prices went up. For $ 10 or more pp, one has lots more choices and better pizza to be had in East Cobb for a little more. We walked out and had chicken salad nearby. The couple in front of us left too. This was a place where we could get a small pizza, good side salad and soda for a fair price. Let us know when the Maddios meal combos are available again after 4pm.

It pains me to give 3stars to this location. I have been coming here since Day 1. Loved the staff, loved the food. Past 6 months it has been declining. Food is stilll good but service is not the same… very hit or miss. There is a new menu. Madio Meal is $ 1 more and I got less toppings than ever. It was insulting. For $ 8.99, I can go to a salad bar buffet or Mongolian style buffet. I’m not going to write it off yet, but it will not be my #1 go to spot. Also, I’m very concerned about the shrinking customers. The past few times, it has been very empty considering it is prime time when I’m there. Please bring back the top notch everything! You are better than 3stars!

Food preparers were very weird and unprofessional! One particular individual kept a customer waiting while she talked on the phone and the other mumbled at me and rushed me along. Tables were dirty and unattended, despite the place being very slow. I would not return to this location.

All I wanted was two cookies. I was asked if I wanted it warmed up. Sure, that would be great. After waiting for 7 minutes they realize they never put the cookies in the oven to be warmed!!! There were only two family’s in the place and they already had their food. So they weren’t busy. In fact, between flirting with each other and throwing a frisbee around they had plenty of time on their hands. I told them to just put the cookies in a box because I didn’t have anymore time to waste. I had food in my car that was getting cold. You would think they would have at least given me an extra cookie. NOPE. That’s too much like good customer service. Pizza is great as well as the cookies. But when you have a bunch of teens playing around without supervision, well this is the type of staff you end up with. Don’t think I will be back anytime soon.

Don’t get me wrong, the pizza is awesome. The reason I’m leaving two stars is because of the staff. Extremely rude, impacient and careless. I was a frequent guest at this location but was forced to go to another ones instead. I went there with some friends about 45 minutes BEFORE close, plenty of time to eat and leave… Apparently we were wrong. The young man was rushing us, didn’t make an effort to pay attention, did as he pleased and started wrapping everything before we were even able to complete our orders. We were going to dine in but ended up having to take out because we felg so unconfortable staying as if we were being kicked out even though it was still early. The dough was raw. Very unpleasant location and staff.

Bottom line: decent pizza with a variety of crust and sauce options and TONS of toppings. Friendly staff. Good salads, too. I’ve been to this location on Roswell Road several times since they opened about a year ago, and it’s always been solid. It’s hard to describe how this place fits in with other pizza places; it’s a chain so it’s not your«mom and pop» pizza joint, but it’s certainly not kid-themed like Stevie B’s. This location has a lot of seating, so you go up and order your food, get a number, and they’ll bring it out to you. Always«served with love.» They have several different-sized pizzas, but we always go on «$ 5.55 Mondays» when the individual 9″ pizza with 3 toppings is $ 5.55(instead of $ 7). I’ve never had the gluten-free crust(not necessary for me), but they offer one and a wheat crust, too, and they have a TON of different toppings! You can order a signature pizza(like The Greek or BBQ Chicken) or you can create your own from over 5 different sauces, 7 different cheeses, and something like 30 different vegetables and meats. I’m usually pretty boring(a great standby is pepperoni, onions, and green peppers), but lately I’ve started noticing their selection of ingredients — portabella mushrooms? black bean corn salsa! artichokes! chicken apple sausage?! — and so I’m already planning my next pizza(modified Rhode Island style: banana peppers and chicken apple sausage). This place needs to put up a tally of top guest favorites, because you could go crazy here! I’ve also had the Greek Salad with chicken, and thought it was decent. Tasty flatbread is served as an accompaniment. There are free fountain drink and iced tea refills, and the staff has always been super-friendly. So no, it’s not Sicilian or New York style or anything pretentious, either. But it’s a decent standby for when you’re feeling like pizza for lunch with fresh ingredients.

I’ve previously had Uncle Maddio’s pizza as takeout, so this was my first time entering the restaurant, placing an order and eating on location. There seems to be a love/hate relationship with this place. Former customers I’ve talked to either really like it or really don’t. I’m assuming it has to do with the ingredients, including the gluten-free crust. Maddio’s has been described as the«Subway of pizza» and to be quite honest, there’s a lot of truth there. Sure, you have your typical pizza classics, but I think the main attraction is the personal sized 9″ pie with three toppings of your choice for $ 6.99. You may get a choice in crust as well, but nobody offered me this option. Once you have your three toppings selected you simply check out at the register, but not before you are given the option of adding a cookie/brownie or chips to your order(sound familiar?). My three toppings of choice were grilled chicken, red onions, and cilantro. The pizza arrived well within 10 minutes, hot and fresh. What I immediately noticed was the sheer amount of chicken covering my pie. I don’t think you could have fit anymore on there if you tried! Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit dry. But I didn’t really expect to be blown away by the quality, given the fast food style. Besides this minor imperfection, the pizza was quite good! The tomato sauce, cheese, and onions were very good. The crust was nice too, but you can tell it comes pre-made. The atmosphere reminded me of a hybrid between Subway and Chipotle. I can see that the Subway comparisons are definitely earned, but I believe there is more of a resemblance to Chipotle as far as restaurant aesthetics go. From the walls touting the fresh, natural ingredients, to the menu layout and fonts, it’s obvious who Maddio’s is mimicking here. Customer service and speed of order were great. I was greeted by one of the workers who eagerly explained how the ordering system worked. The cashier also explained how the rewards system worked. This was all very helpful. No complaints on the service front. My overall impression of Uncle Maddio’s is a good one. Count me in the«likes it» category. Just realise that you are receiving a fast-food style pizza for $ 7 and keep your expectations in check accordingly. Do that, and you will probably find this pizza joint enjoyable too.

This used to be my favorite place to come because their gluten free crust is really good but I will not be coming to this location anymore. Today was the second time that I had horrible customer service by the same guy. The employee is super tall and scrawny. He kept rushing me while I was still trying to decide what I was going to order. This really didn’t make sense because no one was there. He talks to me very rudely. I had to keep asking what because he was not looking at me when he was talking. The last time he started laughing at me. I almost said forget it and walked out but my son was so excited for his pizza. I ended up not even getting what I wanted because I just wanted to stop talking to him. This is the second time he has treated me this way, so I will be going to the kennesaw location from now on

Horrid. Stopped for a large pie on the way home from work the other night, and it was absolutely the worst pizza I have ever had. The crust was limp, and the ingredients were tasteless. For $ 17 I could have purchased a similar-sized Mellow Mushroom pizza, which is the best one in ATL. Guess I learned something. YOU should also learn from my mistake.

Several weeks after opening, this outpost of fast– casual pizza appears to have settled into a groove. Certainly seems to be relatively slammed for both lunch and dinner on weekends, particularly with East Cobb fams. Saturdays at 7 lets most of the early birds clear out, as waiting for someone else’s 4-year to design a pizza can be tedious. But then again, I can see indulging your 4-year-old in this risk-free setting. Still, just be prepared. Otherwise the ordering process is pretty idiot proof — and is copped from sister chain Moe’s, the Tex-Mex house. And although Maddio’s clearly aspires to reach Chipotle fans with the emphasis on healthy options, I think they fall a little short in the quality department. Not bad, just very good — not great. Certainly nothing to match Chipotle’s 5-star guac, for example. The real attraction is the sheer range of toppings, including odd-ball offerings like anchovies, jerk chicken, tofu, and mandarin oranges. That and the price — a 9-in pie is just $ 7 with 3 toppings, additional ones just 50 cents. Needless to say my garlic infused olive oil, baby spinach, jalapeño, goat cheese, anchovy pie was one of a kind. I also went with the whole wheat crust, which also revealed the mid-market Moe’s origin by being just a little too cardboardy. Won’t make that mistake again. But overall the pie was a solid B. Paired with a functional side caesar salad($ 3) it made for a quick, funky, and cheap weekend dinner after a long day of activity. The consensus around the table was that 4-toppings is the sweet spot, but that 5-can work if you do not over meat. The regular crust was also praised as being more in line with traditional thin crust pizza. Everyone also enjoyed making exactly zero compromises on toppings — something that gets cost-prohibitive in less versatile, pricier venues. Liquor license approval is pending at this location, so beer and wine options would dress things up a little more. As ever, these types of fast-caz concepts turn on execution of simple stuff — cleanliness, freshness, clarity, service — and this store does not show any obvious problems. So long as management keeps the standards high, this Maddio’s should have no problem reeling in a good slice of the market in busy East Cobb.
