Great food. To-go service is well run and the burgers are really good to. Also, try the fried green tomato appetizer; you won’t be disappointed.

Chicken friend chicken is to die for. That plus home made sides — especially the collards and okra, are awesome. When tots are on the specials — be sure to get the jalapeño cheese dip for them. Owner/Operator is always making the rounds in the front of the house to make sure everything is on par.

It was a wait at the bar. They were very busy. We started with fried green tomatoes which were good. I loved my oyster Po boy even if the remoulade was a bit thick and too much mayo. The fries were ok. Nothing great. Waiter was fine. But his burger and Mac and cheese were so bad he refused to eat them. He thought they were spoiled. We left when I was done. He did not say anything and the waiter did not notice. Their menu is vast so we will go back. Hopefully try something better for him.

Went to West Cobb Diner last year with my family. All the dishes were great. Had a couple of mishaps with the waiter getting things in order, but the food was really good and lot’s of it. The Turkey and Dressing(great dressing) with Lima’s and squash casserole was enough for 2 people. The Pork Chop dinner was great also. I definitely recommend this place.!!

Fantastic and courteous! Friends invited us our first visit and we were not disappointed. The personnel is friendly and prompt. The portions are large enough that we take home plenty each visit. We have also ordered carry out and the portions just as large. Highly recommend!

I pass by this place all the time but never went in. Thank goodness I finally did the other day. We ended up ordering take out bc we have 2 very whiny kids and takeout seems to the norm now a days for us. I had the turkey Reuben, WOW, thinly sliced turkey piled high, making my mouth water now thinking of it. My hubby had the char grill ribeye. He said it wasn’t Houston’s ribeye but still very good. Very generous portions will definitely be back!

Friendly service, great food, and prices. Good ol’ southern cooking with huge portions. Fantastic selection and specialty dishes. Recommended by a friend and now one of our favorite places to eat out. It is a diner, so if you are looking for a quiet romantic place to eat, this ain’t it. Atmosphere is the only thing that keeps this from being a five star in my book.

Great comfort food and lots of it. Busy place and loud. But if you wanna fill up and have some left over to take home this is it. At night the crowds are heavier than at lunch. Great service too! Give it a try you won’t be sorry!

Sorry no pics but it was great. Atmosphere casual cozy and very clean. Servers all very pleasant helpful and attentive. The food was over portioned… too much food had to take home. Food was very tasty would definitely go again. Definitely try the black eye peas cakes they were to die for. Grilled rib eye was cooked to perfection. Macaroni and cheese… homemade.

Went here for lunch with a friend for the first time, and it’s a pretty cute place. Our server was very friendly and the food was pretty good. I ordered fish tacos, and the fried fish was a little bit greasy, but overall everything was decent. Definitely not the place to go if you’re on a diet. Save that for some other time.

This place is a good place to go if you really want food that tastes like your grandmother made it. Both the good and the bad. They have some very good flavors, but it is also made with a very very heavy«Paula Deen» hand.(Butter and Grease). The fare is traditional southern, and nothing else. They know what they do and they do it well. But it’s not very creative or out of the box by any means. The service was pretty lackluster as was the atmosphere. Overall a very average experience.

Ate lunch there Sunday and had the Chicken Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and Mac n cheese with cornbread muffin. Everything was spot on, chicken was cooked perfectly and sides were definitely from scratch. If you considering dining out I’d recommend WCD.

tldr; unique southern fare, good portions West Cobb Diner is found behind the Walgreens at the corner of Dallas Hwy and Barrett Pkwy. Our trio arrived about 7 and had to wait about 20 minutes for a seat. At first it seemed like they weren’t moving people through fast enough but then the flood gates opened and they seated many of us in a five minute span. My wife ordered the pecan encrusted pork chop(picture added). Very tender, very juicy. Two breasts, both good sizes. They come with blueberry chutney which goes very well with the meat. As sides she ordered the broccoli casserole and sweet potato fries, both of which were gone by the end of the meal. We took home one of the pork chops, though. My mother-in-law ordered the shrimp and grits(picture added). It does not come with a side, but that worked out okay. It was more food than she could handle. The shrimp are fried, which is an interesting twist. I had the Frisco Burger(picture added), medium doneness, also with sweet potato fries. Delicious, albeit greasy(the bread soaked through). The sweet potato fries come with a bleu cheese dressing that isn’t too bleu-cheesy. This is a favorite place of my wife. I give it three stars, but her and, like, everyone else give it more– so four stars.

Ok it started off rough. Got seated then ordered the brie. brie came it was very disappointing(fyi dont order it) bread was left in the hot line forever it was stale not toasted. And no silverware! Now here is where it gets great we had shrimp and grits. Bravo on the grits. Then we had Pimento burger OMFG hands down one the top 3 burgers i have ever had. NEXTWBC burger good job on it. it was super juicy and yummy. The key lime cake perfectly done. And raspberry wine cake just as good or even better. Now the cherry on top TEELA our server made the day a five star. For me. she saved this review! I wish you well in the future

I don’t understand how this place got such good reviews. I’ll give it to them they have great service but how does the food come out in like 2 minutes; pre-made? The menu is too big with too many choices, that are all over the place– I felt like chef Ramsey sitting there with all the thoughts of things he would say. Gyro was Meh, sauce was weird. Fried Pickles, only tasted like pickles, no seasoning or breading taste and meatloaf was only worth 2 bites. Maybe this is good here in the south, and my expectations are too high from being in the north.

First time reviewing this place, but we’ve been several times. IT’S AWESOME. This is as close to a mom and pop meat and veg place that’s still around — the good ones always seem to close before too long. It’s also got a heavy neighborhood deli influence in the menu. We’ve yet to have anything that wasn’t mouth wateringly delicious, and we haven’t gotten the same thing twice. My top recommendation for a meal is the Pastrami Reuben. My sandwich of choice lately has been the reuben and I’ve gotten them all over town — this one is up there with the best of them. The rye bread is buttery and toasted without being hard or soggy — just right. The meat is tender, the slaw is crunchy, and there’s a little bit extra sauce on it. It’s also a good size, so I can eat some of it later. For a side you HAVE to get the Tomato Pie. I’m not always in the mood for it, but it’s a truly unique dish that you’ll want to tell people about and share. We took a whole one over to my family for Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit. I’ve tried making it at home but it was nearly as good. My final suggestion is to try ANYTHING on the menu! You aren’t likely to be disappointed. My wife loves to get the veggie plate — your choice of any 4 sides — so we’ve tried just about all of them at this point. Still working our way through the menu — between their regular one and their specials it’ll be a minute before that task is complete. We’ll be there again real soon, I’m sure of it!

A regular spot for us… often encounter friends/acquaintances there. Menu offers a number of regular items and a changing selection of «specials», some of which are, thankfully, fairly regularly offered as well. Portions are generous and food is good, with most dishes having a bit of flair in seasoning or preparation beyond what you might get on similar items at a basic«meat and three» type place. It’s not a Louisiana place, but the Cajun or Creole dishes we’ve had when they offered them have been as good or better than what we’ve had in many restaurants claiming that as their specialty. Try the Catfish Creole, if offered. Veggies are tasty; greens well-spiced; tomato pie a yummy & different sort of side. We’ve never had a problem with waitstaff; food is usually delivered quickly and they check back regularly. Main downsides are that you may have to wait a little for a table, and the interior’s mostly hard surfaces make it a noisy place when it’s full(and it usually is). Only other slight problem we’ve noticed is the occasional fried item being a bit overdone. Neither of these things seem to have kept us or other customers away.

One night we had a hankering for comfort food, but wanted to venture OTP. We did some shopping and decided we should try the West Cobb Diner. The location is at the end of a strip mall and is really busy on a Friday night. We put our name in and were given two options, sit down now at the bar or outside, or wait 45 minutes for a table inside. Being from Chicago, I felt it was nice enough to sit outside, so we did. It wasn’t long before I realized how much my skin has thinned living in Atlanta. I became a little chilly after a while and we were alone on the patio, which was kind of nice. After looking at the menu I decided on the crawfish crab cakes with corn casserole and macaroni and cheese. My husband got the fried chicken which came with mashed potatoes and fried zucchini. Upon enjoying my meal, I noticed that I was no longer cold. Comfort food at it’s best keeps you nice and warm. The seafood cakes were delicious with large chunks of crawfish. But, my favorite part? The mac and cheese. It seemed like every bite I got had that almost burnt cheesy top in it. The corn casserole is great too, but it’s simply too much when you have mac and cheese. I tried half of my husbands chicken and that was almost better than the seafood cakes I had. I also had to mention that even though we were expelled onto the patio by ourselves, our server did an incredible job with keeping in contact with us even though she had plenty of tables inside.

Pecan Pork Chops and Fried Chicken Something were really good. Chops had some jam and the chicken was just fine. Portions were almost too large. Split a spinach salad and there was so much feta cheese, it was borderline wasteful. Also took home a full chop with way too much breading. Millions of children, not enough bar seats. Understandably popular with locals for the volume of food and the moderate approach to dining.
