For years I was under the misinformed notion that frozen custard is substandard in relation to regular ice cream. It turns out that I had never had amazing frozen custard like this before. Everybody needs to try Whit’s. The flavor choices are simple: vanilla, chocolate, or the daily flavor. But then they have a huge variety of toppings and mix-ins to keep it interesting. What are you waiting for?

The ice cream is the best; but that is easy to see by the evening crowd lined up at the counter. But be sure to stop by in morning for breakfast pastry or sandwich with your special expresso or their mild but tasty house blend coffee. Owner Bernita is a great hostess and can advise on any subject.

I was very excited about the prospect of a new dessert spot for this area, and the first few trips were fine. The custard itself has good flavor and the shop is quirky and fun. But I am very disappointed with the service.
I should be more specific. I am disappointed that the owners or managers see it fit to put children behind the counter to serve the customers. I recently visited and ordered a Whitser (similar to a Blizzard) and had to watch as a kid, who could not have been more than 12, completely butcher what I had just paid for. Not a single person behind the counter saw it fit to step in and prevent him from serving me a melted, sticky mess. I should also mention that he was not the only kid under the age of 12. There was also a young girl attempting to help him with my order, unfortunately.
It was a disappointing experience, and I’m not sure if I will be returning if that is the type of business they want to run.

Best dessert option in Marietta by far. So many options, and such rich, amazing custards!
