Not only was I crippled by this surgeon, I was also inappropriately billed. I’d stay away. Getting better care at Kerlan Jobe now. I went from an obstacle course racer to barely being able to walk. This man rushed me into the OR to make money by stating I’d be back on the race course in a month. Now 4.5 months later, I cannot run or even walk without discomfort. And when I didn’t heal as he stated/predicted…he did little to problem solve or help me. As a doctor myself, I’d say he fell below the standard of care by leagues.

Dr. Bulczynski is a rockstar. I went in from a referral for knee/leg pain. He told me I have back issues. I was like ok, sure… He ordered MRI on knees and spine and sure enough, I have major back issues along with minor knee issues. Crazy. I would have never ever known. He did orthascopy surgery on torn meniscus, 3 days later I was up and walking, very little limp. He’s amazing. I would recommend him to anyone looking for the correct fix. Not a quack looking for money. He’s a true diagnostic Dr. wanting to get to the bottom of your pain. His right hand gal Valerie is just as amazing. She is so sweet and always so helpful.

Had to review since the other Unilocal doesn’t actually address Dr. Andrew Bulczynski. So breaking bones suck. Being in pain can make you cranky, fearful, hair trigger sensitive, and emotional. It is through this filter that I say thank you to the Doc and his support staff for their excellent service. Although I know receptionists can be unpleasant, I did not experience that. Because of previous reviews, I expected them to be on the shady side. I decided to be prepared. I had all my paperwork on hand, took a just-the-facts-ma’am approach and got exactly what I needed – an appointment the next day. Dr. B is knowledgeable, and discussed my injury with me as if I had a voice. He was fully engaged and answered every question I had. Valerie, Dr. Bs receptionist/front desk/assistant was easy and very helpful when it came to dealing with my «unusual» insurance, and that took a lot of stress off my shoulders. They scheduled my surgery for the following day! I already have my follow up appointment scheduled and I’m feeling hopeful about my future mobility. I loved the DISC center and felt as if I was in good hands there. The surgery staff downstairs were equally as good. In general, I find that surgeons prefer to have less contact with patients. What they lack in bedside manner is often surpassed by their medical skill. Dr. B managed both, and I admit I am not the easiest patient. If you’re on the fence about where to go with your injury or condition, do some research about this guy. I’m not the only one that sings his praises. Whatever you decide, good luck to you, I’m sending healing vibes your way!

The reception needs to go through telephone customer service training. Badly. Before I even explain my experience let me just point out that they have a tone in their voice like you’re inconveniencing them by making them talk on the phone. At my appointment I was referred to a therapist by the doctor and told to wait for my insurance to approve. Fast forward a couple weeks and I still haven’t heard from my insurance so I call them only to learn that the request was never submitted. I call the doctor’s office and after telling them my issue I hear lots of typing on the other end. Suddenly the receptionist is like«it’s approved». I was a surprised and asked how that was possible and she sighs and explains that she just submitted it and it was approved. Forgetting about the fact that it can be approved in a matter of seconds when I always have to wait weeks for a turnaround(infuriating), I ask her to clarify that the request was never submitted prior to my call. «No.» that’s all I get; not and apology for dropping the ball, nothing. She just acted like I should thank her for doing her job two weeks late.
