I contacted Giovanna for my civil ceremony’s make up and hair style and as of first moment of communication and discussion I knew that I can trust her. She kept me feeling relaxed and at the end she exceeded my expectations. I felt very confident on my special day because Giovanna did an amazing job. I could not have had a better experience and I would highly recommend for any wedding or special occasion!

WOWZA! I feel SO glamorous and beautiful. I just love Giovanna. She really knows her business. She has such great energy — a joy to be around and to talk to. That’s big when someone is in your FACE and ON your face. But mostly I’m just thrilled beyond words with the results… I literally have never felt like such a gorgeous goddess. Soo I was looking for a makeup artist for my engagement shoot and my wedding. I looked on Unilocal and found this gorgeous lady that had amazing pics of her clients. After meeting Giovanna I was blown away by her amazing work ! She makes you look soo good! Omg! She was professional, fun and is truly gifted and passionate about her work. My appt. w/​Giovanna was right before a red carpet event and from the start I could tell that she knew what she was doing. She asked me to send a picture of myself so that she could prepare. I showed up w/​my usual drama, but she was very patient and down-​to-​earth. She asked for my preferences throughout the session and knew how to transform me beautifully in a very short period of time. Thanks Giovanna for making this soccer mom become the belle of the ball!

Phenomenal makeup art! Spontaneously called before a same day event, scheduled an appointment, the whole experience was excellent, Giovanna is a most wonderful person and her work is in a league of it’s own! I cannot believe how great I look with her makeup magic! To top it off I was pleasantly surprised with the bill.

All around, amazing experience! Would definitely use again and recommend! Not only was Giovanna professional, punctual, insightful, and meticulous — she was incredibly sweet, took the time to listen to what I wanted, and demonstrated skill and technique!
I met Giovanna at the LA Wedding Expo a few months before my wedding. You’d think more artists would pay for a booth to compete for business (considering the several hair and make-​up artists I met at a much smaller expo in Pasadena months before) but to my surprise, she was the only booth offering hair and make-​up services. This alone said a lot to me about Giovanna and to what extent she will go for business. :)
I will say, as a bride on a budget, I was afraid her prices were a little too expensive, BUT because I had such horrible run-​ins with such unprofessional and unreliable people before deciding to finally go with her, paying outside my desired budget for hair and make-​up services was well worth every penny! I don’t regret it and I don’t think you would either. With all the details involved, no bride wants to worry about someone’s reliability on their wedding day. Giovanna (and her team and services) were definitely one less things I worried about.
In terms of the durability of my hair and make-​up the day of…
My hair is extremely long and thick and straight, so I often worry about it holding curls. This wasn’t a problem. The days after both my trial and wedding day, my hair looked incredible, without feeling stiff like it had cans of hairspray and/​or product throughout it. Curls were still in place, as were the seemingly hundreds of bobby pins to hold up my half up and down hairdo. She did charge me $ 30 more for hair services (at the trial and on the wedding day) because of my length but that would have been normal across any hairstylist, I’m sure. Also, to cut preparation time on my wedding day, she also had another stylist come, solely to curl my hair. This woman wasn’t at the trial, but she was there at the church on my wedding day. She was pleasant as well; professionally dressed, punctual and demonstrated skill and technique as Giovanna did.
I have no complaints about my make-​up either. Mind you, I don’t often wear much make-​up and on the occasions that I do, I don’t wear very much of it. I also didn’t ask to deviate very far from how I would normally look, so was the difficulty high in what she was doing? I’m no make-​up artist, I wouldn’t know, but I don’t think I asked for anything too intricate. What I’m saying is, I’m sure others could replicate it and maybe? at a cheaper price but I like I said before, I don’t regret going with Giovanna.
She airbrushed me, which was at no extra charge. My biggest concern was looking two toned in photographs, but I knew this was no worry after my trial with her. (we even addressed this on a thorough questionnaire she sent me to fill out prior to our trial — by the way, while this questionnaire took me about 20 minutes to fill out, it was useful to the both of us on the day of both services. Giovanna was prepared and I felt in good hands. The questionnaire covered everything, from desired look, to face and hair types and concerns. She encouraged me to send pictures that were useful, and she printed my questionnaire to refer back to during my trial). Anyways, I took lots of pictures to test it out and not one made me look like a ghost (you know how that can happen sometimes, when you choose the wrong foundation — again, a small detail we probably overlook but is so important on a day like your wedding. You don’t want to look like a face ghost in your pictures!). Speaking of small and possibly overlooked details, she also used all water-​proof eye make-​up! So important! Especially for a crier like me who couldn’t keep tears away even before seeing my groom at the alter. What else? She provided me with a small touch up kit, but never saw the need to use it. It was built into the cost of the service. My ceremony wasn’t long, photos were taken immediately after, and nothing ran from when I was crying so touching up my make-​up didn’t really cross my mind. Nor did it during the reception.
A few days after the wedding, I received a thank you card in the mail, which was a nice touch from Giovanna. It was personal and just solidifies her efforts and professionalism. You won’t be disappointed.
I know she has a team that could do your entire wedding party. I only met one at my wedding and a few at the expo, but those weren’t working on me or I didn’t see them applying make-​up or doing hair I should say. Hope this review helps her. She’s amazing and so deserving of more clients if she doesn’t already have a lot. :)

Giovanna does absolutely perfect makeup applications! I especially recommend her to models, actors, brides, and others who need to look flawless on camera. She is clearly an expert in all things makeup and beauty. And on top of it all, she is also incredibly sweet and funny.

Giovanna did an amazing job! Without much direction on what we wanted, I was highly impressed. Makeup lasted all night long just like she said, even through some crazy dancing. Overall, I was extremely impressed with how professional and friendly she is. I would highly recommend.

Amazing! I moved to LA 8 years ago and have not found a makeup artist I would ever use again. Giovanna is amazing and has made me look amazing for black tie events and even did some crazy makeup and eyelashes for a friend and I for Halloween. This lady is super talented.

Giovanna did my make-​up for a wedding at which I was a bridesmaid. I usually hate having my make-​up done for me, especially for events where there are a lot of photos, because I always feel like I don’t look like myself. She did a great job and when I said I wanted to look natural, I actually ended up looking natural. She was also great about explaining what she was doing and stopping to ask my opinion along the way. The make-​up was great in the photos and I would not hesitate to use her again for any kind of event.
