Our favorite stop on our South Bay bike rides… Had the Pahd thai and soup last night and it was delicious.

I would say that for the Marina, this place isn’t bad for Thai food. It hits the spot. I’m giving them 5 stars for service and just overall good«feels». Came out to Fishermans Village on the Waterbus from my apt on a stressful day. While waiting for my food, one of the Marina custodial staff(an older woman) was sweeping and cleaning up the outdoor seating area and one of the owners(I’m guessing) put out a free drink for her. Seemed like a daily gesture… Warmed my heart! While eating, I saw another local worker come by and ask if they could heat up his food, and they obliged. I love local spots like this! Got the pad Thai with chicken… It’s flavorful although maybe not exactly the Thai flavors I’m used to but not bad by any means(I’ve been to Thailand and also grew up eating Thai all the time). The Thai Iced Tea was not bad either(very sweet).

I have to say I didn’t order much from here, but a blended ice mocha. It was actually the best iced mocha I’ve ever tasted thus far. It’s the only coffee drink I can handle the taste of, so I have had a lot of different iced mochas from a lot of different coffee shops/café’s. But my husband and I did have a nice conversation with, who seemed to be the owner, while we waited to go Para-sailing near by. He told us a little about the area and helped us with validating our parking. He just had a very caring and kindness spirit about him and it stuck out to me to Unilocal about it. I only gave it 4 stars just because I have yet to try the food. Good atmosphere/staff always makes any experience so much better!

Our production company ordered lunch from here. The Pad Thai did not impress me at all. The noodles tasted of Microwave quality and the tofu was bland. They also offer sandwiches which probably would’ve been a better choice. Better luck next time. 2stars for being a super nice staff.

Dreadful rude people own this place, it’s a dirty mess and the food is lousy. Don’t bother going here.

Don’t go expecting amazing Thai food. Its standard Thai food. Good, but not unique. The outside area had a great ambiance although pigeons kept trying to steal food and they don’t get chased away easily. Nice staff! A great stop for lunch.

I went to the fisherman’s village and since I love Thai food I decided to give it a try… their shop looks old and not good taken care of… banners and menu turned yellow because of the son… I forgot to order my pad Thai without shrimps(brrr I don’t get why people like shrimps: p) …my pad Thai didn’t taste like pad Thai and my shrimps were frozen… even though the woman was friendly, I probably wouldn’t come back :(

I received very incompetent service here, and I may even describe the place as pretty shady. Before starting my parasailing trip nearby, I went to get 2 coffees here. When I presented them my credit card, they didn’t seem to charge it right away and return it to me. Even though there were only 2 of us customers present at the time, they gave my coffee order mistakenly to another customer. It took about 20 minutes for them to finally bring me the coffees, and to return my card — luckily I wasn’t late for the parasailing appointment. Lo and behold, a few weeks later, I found 2 extra charges on my credit card. Good thing I was able to clear that up with my credit card company.

0 stars for dishonest and unethical business practices. Was next door with Parasailing, and decided to stop by here for a bite to eat before heading home. Showed the cashier at Thai Garden my parking validation and asked if it was ok if I had one validation already for parasailing. The lady said it was fine, and proceeded to stamp my validation a second time. On our way out, the parking attendant informed us that we were only allowed to have one validation. We were charged an additional hour of parking fees. That is just unethical and dishonest business practices. I understand having a small business means keeping things tight, but lying to your customers like that? Keep your 6 stupid dollars. I’m never coming back to your establishment again. 0 stars.

For a place that calls itself Thai Garden, there seemed to be a lot more sandwiches and whatnot on the menu than actual Thai food. Oh well, I didn’t come here for the Thai food anyway. The grilled tuna sandwich was well-made, not too much mayo and the bread was toasted perfectly. They made me wait quite a bit for their strawberry crêpe. It wasn’t exactly warm and the strawberry syrup made it too moist and kind of soggy… not that great! Every other person who ordered while I waited got an ice cream cone. I begrudgingly decided against getting one for dietary reasons, but it looked good and I’m currently regretting my decision. The guy who took my order was nice enough to tell me every couple minutes or so that my order was still cooking. Hopefully he didn’t think I was getting impatient, I just wanted to survey the area. Overall, a solid place to eat after checking out the nearby harbor activities.

I had biked 10 miles from the Hermosa when I ended up in front of this place. I was cold, hungry, and miserable. I was a little hesitant when we chose to order from this place. But at this point, i really didn’t care. My stomach needed to be fed. Now here’s a word of advice. I know this place is called Thai Garden, but you’re best off ordering sandwiches, paninis, and ice cream here. Don’t order the Thai food. It’s not that good. I ordered the Turkey melt and it was pretty dang good. I also stole a couple slurps of the smoothie from fellow bikers, and the strawberry smoothie is delicious!!! Now, although the food is not mind blowingly good, I must commend this place for it’s great service. Louis was great! He wants to make sure you are satisfied with your food. He really does care. He’s not just there to do his job and get the day over with. He even gave us complimentary brownies. Man… free food is the gateway to my heart!

It’s not a real restaurant. More like a food stand. But it was cheap and good thai food. Service was nice. They only have outdoor seating.

Alright. This place is probably THEMOSTRANDOM place to have Thai food. But i like good surprises. We bike here from Hermosa pier and were kinda hungry and tired by the time we got here. We order food here, not sure what to expect, but the food was pretty good! — Wildberry smoothie was alright — Strawberry smoothie was BOMB. — The BLT& Turkey melt sandwiches were pretty tasty. — Wonton soup was a little bland for my taste, but the wontons themselves were good. And the soup was HOT(and we were all freezing so it was nice… cept i burned by tongue five times) — They didn’t use the flat noodles for the pad thai, but it was still good nonetheless. Not the best, but not bad!!! Esp, when you’re hungry, it tastes pretty good. AND, may I add, their EXCELLENTCUSTOMERSERVICE made me love them so much more. They were super friendly and the owner gave us complementary brownies on the house!(unfortunately, the taste wasn’t that great… but the actual food was so much better SOHURRAYFORTHAT! haha!)

A couple of things to keep in mind. 1. This is a beach/boardwalk kind of place. That is, it has an order window and only a couple outside tables to sit. 2. The above is all fine, but the food is a little expensive for what it is. 7.95 for chicken pad thai. While not over the top expensive, that isn’t a deal by any means for an outside eating place with a takeout window. 3. Now my pad thai was tasty, but nothing special. 4. They do validate for parking as well. 5. Oh, and they do have a variety of food, both thai and non-thai. Overall this is as Unilocal says, an «A-OK» place. Food is fine, prices aren’t outrageous, but I don’t think I would go out of my way to head here again.

This place was off the chain. when translated back to normal English it means the food at this place was delicious. I might be over doing it but it did taste that good. I was really starving when I came up on this place on bike. When I stated I was dying that was the truth. I rode my bicycle from San Pedro all the way to this place in Marina Del Rey and almost dropped from a lack of not eating. The service was great and the cashier that took my order sounded like she really wanted to get some food into my stomach. LoL !! I really love the atmosphere because you have the kids inside not too far from the cash register playing video games. I felt like I was transported back to home with moms cooking. I was hungry so excuse my delusion !! If you’re ever in a situation like mine. don’t hesitate to drop by this mom and pop spot !!

This little shop of a restaurant is great. I ordered the vegetables and tofu steamed rice today. It took about 7 – 10 minutes to get and was delicious! I chose a seat a little away from the restaurant and they brought it to me and made sure I was happy. The prices are higher than I would expect but the customer service and food were very good. The location is cool too because you can pick what you want and sit where you want or take the food to go. While I was there a band started playing which was awesome. There is plenty of parking and they validate for two hours.
