Hair salons in Marina are slim pickings… I decided to try this place based on some stellar reviews and made an appointment to get highlights with Jennifer. No problems with booking, and I was really looking forward to getting my hair done before picking up my partner from the airport.
I show up to the salon 20 minutes early, am told by another stylist that Jennifer is not in yet, and that she has another client waiting who has an appointment at the same time as mine. Uh, ok… I sit in a chair and wait for this Jennifer to come in and sort things out, only to have her call my cell while I am waiting. She says quite frankly «I’m sorry but I have to reschedule our appointment.» Weird, but ok, no problem.
As I’m walking out, still on the phone with Jennifer rescheduling our appointment, she proceeds to tell me that she is SICK and can’t make it to work. I know full well that she is lying and has another customer in the salon. I mean come on, if you’re going to mess up that badly at least be honest about and say «I apologize, I accidentally double-​booked» or «my long-​time client is having a hair emergency,» but do not lie to me. Have some integrity. Needless to say I won’t be going back.

I love How Jennifer cuts and colors my hair! She is always flexible with my crazy schedule and calls me to remind me of my appointments. She asks me what I would like done and she listens to me which I find so refreshing. She keeps me looking beautiful and feeling wonderful! I’m a Happy happy client for a long while now!

Went to Jennifer to bring my dyed-​black hair down to blonde ombré. Jennifer was very honest and upfront with me and explained that because my hair was so dark, that blonde just wasn’t possible today. She took her time bringing my hair down several levels gently, then color-​matched my hair to my roots. Right now it’s a gorgeous medium ash with pretty red highlights that shimmer in the sun, and I finally have a haircut that I love, too! I appreciated Jennifer’s honesty and consideration for my hair, as well as the time she spent making sure it looked great. We’re going to attempt blonde highlights at my next appointment, and I have confidence that she’s going to take her time again and make sure I don’t look like a big dork afterwards. Thank you, Jennifer! I will be back! :D

I came in with a terrible hair dye job and cut from a person that obviously didn’t know what ombré meant. I came to Jennifer and not only did she take me back to my original color but re-​layered my hair and brought it back to life with an amazing mask! I wish I had pictures to show how awful my hair was before she fixed it! The best part was her prices were very reasonable. I will be going back to her for all of my hair needs. She truly cares about the client’s hair health. THANK YOU JENNIFER!

I just had an amazing facial by Monica. She is really nice and helps you understand what you need to do to keep your face clean. I rarely write reviews but she deserves the compliment, I will be going back

I recently moved to Marina. Ready for a dramatic change of hairstyle, I called to see if I could get an appointment. Jennifer got me in within a few hours of my call. I showed a picture of what I had in mind and she worked her magic. I’m loving the new style and will definitely be coming back! Thank you Jennifer!

I got the worst haircut ever! Not only was I rushed in and out but I had finally gotten my hair to the length I wanted after a year of growing and she chopped it all off and have me irregular layers that had me in tears for days. I would never get my hair cut there.
The spa area is filled with bulky chairs an they offer no product to help your skin. It’s fancy decorations but not a place to get reliable quality service.

I love this place. The women consider the health of your hair as well as what will truly look good. Jen and Crystal are wonderful. I’ve got very curly hair and Jen brought it back to life after i totally damaged it at Marinello’s beauty school and was able to give my hair what it needed and more. She does it all. Cut. Color. Style… whatever you need. I won’t go anywhere else.

I really love this place, its so inviting. I am so excited my hair stylist Jennifer works at this location. She has been doing my hair for 2 years now and I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. She is wonderful at what she does! I would highly recommend my friends and family to go here!

See Monica for a facial and massage. Monica is very friendly and has a passion for what she does. Every time I go my skin feels and looks better, she has helped with clearing up my acne and has given me lots of tips to better take care of my skin at home. If you have acne or want to improve your skin see Monica she wont let you down.

Purchased a Groupon for facial and waxing last year, was helped by the lovely Monica… thank you, I hope to come back one day but life and $ hasn’t allowed me yet =). I also purchased a GloMineral powder, its by far one of my fav makeup. I’m almost running out so for that l might have to walk in to purchase.

I recently had a facial by Leila Lyke (831) 578‑3433 at Diva’s and had a great experience. First off, the salon (which is more like spa) is adorable and easy to find. The treatment Leila did was not only relaxing but did wonders for my skin. I have large pores which nearly disappeared after the facial. My skin was firm and the fine lines around my eyes were gone! I’ve had a ton of facials and this was far the best bang for my buck. It felt like I had a whole body relaxation treatment when I left. I already made my next appointment for 6 weeks out. I highly recommend Leila to all those who want to look and feel their best!

Joined the Navy 3 years ago so I don’t live in Monterey area any more but anytime I go to visit family I have to go to see Leila Lyke at Diva’s — She is AMAZING!
My favorite is to get the custom facial (I would get it even without the discount!) from her. She personalizes the facial to you and your skin type. My skin always feels amazing after going to her (and if I’m in town long enough I go back and have 2^nd one before heading home). I’ve been living in San Diego for 2 years now and I have yet to find an esthetician that makes me feel as relaxed as Leila, plus the products she uses are really high end without breaking the bank. I wish I lived closer so that I could go every month!
She does waxing as well; if I time it right I have her do my eyebrows, underarms, etc…

Amazing! I got a mini facial and massage today. Monica is amazing. She is very courteous, an excellent masseuse and gave the best facial I have ever had. The spa area is really sophisticated and nice. It has a Hollywood glamour feeling to it. As you would not know the surprises that await you from the looks on the outside, you are in for a surprise.

This was round 2 at Divas! I got a hair cut and wax with Miracle Worker, I mean, Jennifer. She is fantastic! The first time I came in, she fixed a hair emergency I had before my friend’s wedding. Major improvement to what I had going in! This time, my hair is finally back to normal and not choppy. More importantly, I LOOK LIKE A DIVA. Jennifer also does waxing. I got my lip and brows done. My brows are thin and completely two different shapes. I communicated my concerns and my needs were met. My eyebrows look very close in shape. IT’S A MIRACLE! LOL. Also, I have a Monroe piercing on my lip and she was very careful when waxing. I appreciate that. She is client oriented and pays attention to detail. I am more than satisfied! Thank you Jennifer, for fixing my hack job and making me look fabulous!

I LOVE this place! The first time I went there I felt like I was in the movie «Steel Magnolias» with all the ladies in the Beauty shop all talking and laughing. Seriously! I love getting my hair done by Crystal. She always does a fabulous job with the cut and color and I always get a lot of compliments on my hair. Sheila also does a FABULOUS job on my nails and toes. I always look forward to my mani’s and pedi’s. That’s my «me» time. I had a facial done by Monica recently and oh. my…word…I can’t wait to go back for another one… so relaxing!!!

I have to give Diva’s mad props for immediately making me feel comfortable, which is not an easy feat.
I liked my manicure A LOT. I am even considering putting my hair paranoia a rest and trying out the stylist here. The décor is adorable (I love the 40s and pin-​ups) and they have made a tiny space really cute and welcoming.
They also schedule their own appointments, they even have their cell #‘s on the answering machine which is nice if you are having a beauty emergency.
