Skydiving. Check. Off bucket list. There were three of us who had skydiving on our bucket list– my SIL, 19 yr old daughter and myself. I really do feel this was the best place for our first(not last) jump. The place was recommend by friends so that was helpful in making our decision. We made our reservation and deposit by phone, hoping for good weather on our jump day. We scored on the weather for the day! They explained clearly the deposit rules with the incliment of weather. I clearly understood. If you have free travel days, I suggest reserving at the beginning of your trip in case the weather isn’t cooperative. I have done this with other activities while traveling and I have rescheduled due to weather a few days later. You can’t do anything about the weather. It is what it is. The process takes a bit… You sign in, paperwork, get weighed, fitted, meet your tandem instructor but all relevant since you are jumping from a plane. The three of us had different tandem instructors and I think we all felt we had the best ones. That says something for their staff. Now for the jumps, my kid was the first out. It looked as if she was trying to jump before it was time, she was excited. We purchased pics of her jump since he had a go pro on his wrist and they were great. You could see her joy, her instructor said she was like a toddler on crack. Welcome to my world. As for my jump, what can I say? It was one of the biggest highs in my 43 years. I am hooked and will do it again and again. Despite what my fellow jumpers say, I had the best tandem intructor– great guy strapped to my back. I always felt safe and comfortable. He was super friendly which helps when you have someone attached to you. We never felt unsafe. They were very professional. Trust me, I would never let my only child jump out of a plane if it wasn’t safe ;).
