I’m new to Marine City, and I kept hearing rave reviews about The Little Bar. We gave it two tries(even with a first bad experience, I thought it seemed fair to give it another try). Service was extremely slow, food was average, and drinks were nothing to rave about. After two bad experiences, I decided there are plenty of other places in town with much better service and food, and I won’t waste any more time or money there.

Ate there last night to celebrate a birthday. We had the prime rib, the ribs, the perch dinner and the planked salmon, also the Cabrera pita for an appetizer. It all was great, in fact this is becoming my favorite place for perch! Kim was great and the owner was attentive as well. Would highly recommend.

Went to the theater in Marine City last night with neighbors. Came to the Little bar for dinner. This is now our favorite place for perch. Such a cute place with excellent service. Our dinners were outstanding and even had a mini dessert which is the perfect size after a meal. Will definitely recommend this place and Cabaret at the theater was great too.

As a vegeterian, eating out in St. Clair County is chalenging, but the Little Bar is upping the game by offering a really nice portabello mushroom sandwich. THANKYOU!

Dined at The Little Bar with my husband. Tracy our server was classy, professional, and intelligent. The French chicken was delicious and my martini was made exactly how I asked. I would highly recommend The Little Bar. Well worth the drive!

Only my second time here, but I have already added it to one of my favorite places while in Marine City. The burgers are huge and yummy, there’s plenty of other things to choose from, such as ribs, perch, fish & chips and of course prime rib and steak. No matter what you prefer, you will find good food here. The atmosphere is cozy and the wait staff is friendly. You must check it out!

I have had both great and bad experiences at this restaurant. When dining in, food and service exceeds expectations and keeps me coming back. Unfortunately, the take out service is well below par. The order was incorrect when I picked it up and some of the food wasn’t properly cooked. When I brought it back to have it replaced with a salad instead, some of the staff complained about it in the kitchen(where I could hear them) and my side salad took an awfully long time to prepare. Needless to say, I will not be ordering out again, but will rather dine in instead.

Looks fancy compared to its name. Very clean more of a château bistro look. Waitresses and owner have that larger fashion bug look with a hefty smokers cough. Much older crowd so when I asked if there was wifi I got the deer in headlights look. Owner said yes and the password is little bar. That was not the password and when I told her she said she has no idea. She could care less about me getting online no effort was put in to getting that password. I ordered the ribeye steak 12oz. I asked how the cut was. Waitress said 1″ I said wow sounds good. ½ inch steak comes out. Typical cheap cut hard to chew loaded with all the seasons to make it look fancy. In the end it is a dive bar with dive bar food run by dive bar people. If mcdonalds where to have steak that’s what it would look like and taste.

We were looking forward to our return to the Little Bar after many years. We were immediately impressed with the number of cars in the lot and were worried we would not get a table since we didn’t have reservations. The new interior was impressive. It was clean, up dated, and yet still had a cozy feel,(but not as cozy as the original. We chatted at the bar with the enthusiastic and attentive owner, while we had a drink waiting to get a cleared table. This was, unfortunately, was the highlight of our experience for the evening. We were impressed with the menu and the prompt attention by the waitress. My wife chose the cod and I chose the«marinated» lamb chops with rice. We both ordered a salad as one of the two sides that came with the dinner. The salad was so cold it hurt my teeth and the lettuce was wilted from being kept at such temperatures. My dressing which I ordered on the side was like a semi dried paste, again from being so cold. We thought the dinner will be better. Oh no, wrong again. My lamb chops were small and mostly fat and lacked a «marinade» flavor. Now for my other side, rice. Who can’t cook rice properly and devoid of flavor, unless you count the dry«after taste» flavor. Instant 90 second rice packs are better. My wife’s cod was probably frozen and then drenched in butter or oil running over the fish and the plate. Same with her side of «fresh» green beans. Again frozen from a bag or canned, but certainly not the color of fresh beans. How hard is it to cook fresh beans and rice with some flavor, Evidently it seemed hard for the cook at the Little Bar, I call him a cook because a chef would know better then to send out these meals. I almost laughed when they asked if we wanted containers to take the leftovers home. If we can’t eat it in the restaurant I am certainly not going to eat it later. I gave it the one star for service and the atmosphere but thats it. Maybe a burger or appetizer would be fine but I’ll never know because I won’t return!

I really loved the quaint atmosphere and colorful décor. I especially loved the appetizers. You must try the chicken wraps which were to die for. Our dinners were also delicious, and the servers were very courteous and friendly. Don’t leave without ordering the house specialty coffee drink«The Little Bar After-Hours». Made with five different liqueurs, I call it the«The Little Bar, Lights Out»! What a great way to end the night.
