Comfort Inn

This is a good place, I’d have given it 3.5÷5.0, but as that isn’t an option, I give it 4. It’s nice, new, they have good beds, they have excellent free hot breakfast. Its also pet friendly! It’s a bit pricey, pretty far from I-​40, and we ended up with a «smoking» room – I thought those were extinct. But I’ll also say we were tired of driving, it was probably the last room vacant, and I was happy it was available. And really, it wasn’t bad smelling. So, 3.5÷5.0. Try to get the nonsmoking room unless you smoke, and I’d say you won’t be disappointed.

Ohhhhh my. It took us 20 extra minutes to locate this joint. 2 cell phones and a garmin gps all took us to different locations besides the actual hotel. The lady at the desk said i should have called. She would have given me «taco bells address». The elevators are super slow. The lady then told us it is because there are a lot of «old people» that stay here and they cant handle quick moving elevators.
Our bathroom counter wasnt wiped down. There was multiple areas that were covered with something. The full length mirror was mounted crooked. Pencil markings are on the walls from hanging pictures. There were multiple wall patch jobs gone bad.
The bathroom vent cover was filthy.
The TV remote only worked for power and volume not channel changing. We used the buttons the tv to change the channel. Ha, come to find out, there are only 2 channels.
The lobby is waaaaay too small to accommodate the amount of people that could stay at the hotel
I wouldn’t spend the amount of money that i did to stay here again

I love my fancy hotels but I also love to go camping. But all that aside this hotel is very nice. From the moment I came in the door the front desk was super helpful and our room was very nicely decorated. The beds are very comfy with soft and firm pillows. Nice and clean bathrooms plus breakfast in the morning is very plentiful with lots of selections. I’m glad I drove out of Asheville on my trip and stayed here.
