Dip Dog Stand

The dip dog stand is right next to Mike’s Health and Fitness, which is a gym that I’ve been to whenever I’m in town for the holidays the past ten years. So shameless plug for Mike’s, just because it’s such a great local gym with its own personality.
Anyways on to the review…
I came here with relatively high expectations, as apparently it’s on some list for best fast food stands in VA. I only recently found this out so I decided to give it a shot.
I got the standard dip dog, with mustard. Honestly, it was pretty good. It’s definitely way better than your average corn dog, but I don’t think it was out of this world or anything. I also had their french fries; it was pretty much your average non chain french fry, nothing amazing either.
I guess maybe their niche is the fact that they have corn dogs? I can’t think of another place that sells corn dogs. From what I sampled, their food is a-​ok. They do have a diverse menu though, from fried oysters to a bacon and egg sandwich.
I give this place 3 stars, as the food isn’t out of this world, but I would definitely come and try the dipdog if you are in the area. I personally wouldn’t go back just to get it, but I wouldn’t be opposed to eating here again if someone else wanted to go.
