A must try if you are in the Marion area. Great golden margaritas, friendly staff, and good food. Try the patio in the good weather. I highly recommend the jumbo golden margarita on the rocks. $ 1.00 off margaritas on Tuesdays. Cheers

We… LOVED it! Excellent service, warm crispy chips, mild salsa, super gold margarita and fresh, yummy chicken fajitas! We want more!

I visited at about 6:30 on a weeknight. No line, but I chose to sit at the bar because I was alone. I sat for about 10 minutes, ignored by no fewer than 3 employees who went behind the bar to make drinks for tables. Finally moved myself to the patio where I was waited on in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered a combo consisting of a burrito, enchilada and a taco, also ordered refried beans and rice not included in combo. I don’t like my food real spicy, but can deal with a moderate heat. Chips were warm and fresh and salsa was acceptable, if a bit bland. My meal arrived hot, in a reasonable time frame. The burrito and the enchilada both had red sauce on them and, aside from the corn and flour tortillas, looked and tasted the same, no lettuce, tomatoes or sour cream accompanied either. Very bland. The taco had the same ground beef as the above and tasted the same, minus the red sauce. Again… bland. The refried beans arrived piping hot and were good, the rice was warm, cooling quickly and tasteless. Value for the amount of food is good, but the food seems to be lacking variety, accompaniments and taste. I will not return. My search for quality Mexican fare in the local area continues.

Don’t expect to be able to avoid food allergies, it’s prefab thrown into whichever shell you order & topped with the sauce you picked. Well, hat is unless you pay a third more for each item price you need to alter! Nothing so earth moving that warrants a return. The prices are cheap, otherwise, and next time, I’ll go elsewhere. It is Not worth the hassle.

The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. There are things on the menu I don’t care for but no one is going to like everything on a menu. The fresh salsa is great and I love the chicken tacos. The staff is friendly and service is good.

El Camps is the BEST Mexican restaurant in Marion. The salsa and chips are delicious!(You can ask for mild salsa if the original is too spicy for you). I always order the tamales and a bowl of house soup; I have never been disappointed. Takeout orders are the same quality as when dining in as well!

We have been to el camps several times and each time has been average. Tonight we had an exceptional experience. Even though there were some negatives, our server made up for them. Here is what we experienced, we ordered right off because we were starved and knew what we wanted. Our server was very polite and friendly. After 10 – 15 minutes,(usual amount of time for food turnaround here) we had no food and our server checked in. Another 5 – 10 minutes went by an she checked in and apologized for the wait and brought me another drink before my other one was empty. Once the food did come it was piping hot, perfect! Our server checked in once again and apologized for our wait and made sure we didn’t need anything. When you overlook the food prep time, our experience and food made this a five star review. Our server handled everything perfectly and as you would expect from an outstanding establishment. We will definitely be going back and would recommend el camps to anyone in Marion.

We have been coming here for years. Best food ever. The salsa and chips are enough to keep you coming back. The staff is amazing. If you ever get a chance ask to hear about the history of the restaurant. It’s a heart warming story best told by them.

El Campesino is the best Mexican food around! My family and I have been going there since they opened in the late 90s. Service is always great and the margaritas are excellent. Last night the salsa had a little extra kick. The La Mejor is my favorite dish. A chicken chimichanga with a steak taquito and rice. Highly recommend!

Definitely a Marion favorite! You have to get the cheese dip! One of my all time favorite Mexican places. :)

I really love their El Campesino fajita… the left-overs make the best omelet. The golden frozen margarita is the best in the area… don’t drive after drinking one though because they are good and strong!

The golden Margaritas on the rocks are the best I have ever had. Be sure to go on Cinco De Mayo and tip the Marriatchi band because they are great!

Stopped in for a nice family meal, and found the experience to be pleasant. The staff was friendly, and the food was excellent. I found the portions to be very generous for the prices, and everyone walked away stuffed. The unlimited chips and salsa was a nice bonus as well. In addition to the above, they offer a childrens menu featuring american cuisine for those picky eaters. The facility was very clean and service was responsive. My water glass never got dry!

Solid central Mexican cuisine(melted plates of refried beans and cheese). The horchata can be a little powdery.
