Hampton Inn Marion

What a dump. Obnoxious employee at the counter was somehow unable to take our online payment; got a Twin bed sold as a «King» too. A little tip: if you can lay down and touch one ankle to each corner of the bed, either you’re LeBron James or you just got fucked by a hotel selling you a Twin mattress as a King. Room was clean, though in need of updating.
Keep driving on to the next town, fellow travelers.

Happy hour. 2 drinks and snacks, complimentary! Need I say more? Rooms are clean. I wish the outside of the building were a different shade of yellow and they had better signage. The exterior made me a little worried for the quality of the hotel but it’s nice inside. Very friendly and personable staff!

We always have good experiences at Hampton Inns, that is why we keep going back. After a long drive we know that a nice comfortable king size bed will be waiting. We didn’t call ahead for a reservation this time but checked in at 6 p.m. We enjoyed our fresh clean room and they even had a desk light on when we entered the room — how cozy is that?
I looked forward to my usual oatmeal the next morning however when I went to get it the pot must not have been working. I notified the front desk that the oatmeal was just sitting there unplugged and when I plugged it in, it didn’t turn on. They got someone on it right away however it wasn’t going to be done for me. They apologized and I just told them it just gave me an excuse to eat badly (no disrespect to the food choices but I normally don’t eat meat, eggs or sugar products). I enjoyed the fresh fruit and french toast sticks.
I left with my usual hot chocolate. One of these days I hope we can stay at the hotel longer as we are always on the road by 6 or 7 a.m. The rooms are comfortable enough to just laze around in all day.
We look forward to adding this Hampton Inn to our yearly trek from WI to FL for the holidays.

A Hampton is a Hampton. The breakfasts were actually above average for a Hampton. The Fitness Center NEVER had available towels — people were nice and decent location. Would probably check out the Holiday Inn Express which is new versus this tired building.

Stayed here several times. Very very nice staff — front desk people remembered your name, housekeeping was on top of everything, nothing to complain about.

I’ve stayed here three times for 5 or 6 days at a time. Rooms feel very new. They are cleaned very well. Beds are fairly comfortable. Staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast isn’t too exciting but no worse than any other Hampton or hotel that offers free breakfast. The evening reception is nice. Exercise room is small but you can also use the Gold’s Gym that is only a couple of blocks away. Haven’t used the pool but the water always looks clean and clear.
There isn’t much to differentiate this class of hotel except for the staff. This Hampton’s staff is really good.

I love this place I stayed in one for several months and the bed is very comfortable clean and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel or yes and complimentary breakfast is a plus!

Definitely a BIG PLUS here. Especially since Marion is such a small town. But big ups for appearances. This one is pretty nice compared to the one in Orlando. My uncle said it was recently renovated, so I’m happy with that. And it served my needs for being in Marion. Only thing… Internet didn’t work as easily as it did in Orlando. That was my 1 star deduction. Other than that, Thank You Hampton Inn in Marion, Illinois…
