Stopped by for dinner while in town visiting family. The place was not busy which I found odd at dinner time and I soon discovered why. The hibachi chef was friendly. My wife ordered the chicken and shrimp and I got the steak and shrimp. I never received my steak which the staff discount off my receipt. The chicken was nothing special and a little undercooked with no flavor. The soup also lacked a lot of flavor and the rice was also undercooked. This was definitely the worst hibachi I’ve had and we left disappointed. The worst part was as soon as we left we both felt very sick after eating here and barely made it home without stopping to throw up and use the bathroom. We continued having stomach cramps for a day after eating there. After telling my family the also had bad experiences there and none of us will be returning. If you want a good hibachi place it’s definitely worth the extra drive to Polaris or Mansfield.

Had a Dragon roll, rainbow roll side salad. Surprisingly good for a quick road stop. Good change from Wendy’s or McDonald’s.

Came to Marion with my husband for a quick business trip. I did some Unilocal Searchin’ and found Iron Chef. Great choice! The chef was fun and the waitress was attentive. And the food was just plain yummy! I got the filet and shrimp and G got Land & Sea with extra fried rice and extra vegetables. All of it was great but we are not a fan of the bean sprouts. We had plum wine, which smells wonderful and tastes sweet. And we split a small hot sake. The two local couples sitting with us were very nice. One couple was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary!

Love this place! The sushi rocks and who doesn’t like hibachi. This place is very clean and I always have an enjoyable experience when I eat here. The prices are high but the quality of food is great! Worth every penny.

This place is not good. The food is not fresh and the wait staff is not friendly. Every time I ate there I went home sick and had to make many trips to the bathroom. Also they have there children running around making noise and serving and preparing food in the kitchen.

I’m really happy with the sushi options at this restaurant. Given how busy the restaurant can be on weekends, I also think the service is great, efficient and friendly despite the large volume of customers. The sushi for two is a good deal, and it includes about 36 pieces of sushi, soup, and salad. Fresh and delicious taste to everything.

Two words: crab rangoon. These hot, crispy dumplings full of crab and cream cheese are perfection. Dipped in sweet sour sauce, they will shoot to the top of your craving list for several days… weeks? Order them. My only frown throughout this, my second, visit was caused by how wet the iceberg lettuce(not my favorite kind of salad though I understand that it appeals to the masses) and dressing were exesssiy watery. Not so appealing. Nevertheless, the rest of the meal was delicious and the service excellent as well.

We went here with a 6 person group and were completely happy wit the experience. We all ordered the hibachi chicken and it was delicious. My only complaint is the salad being made of only iceberg lettuce(too plain for me). The theatrics were super fun and the waitresses kept up with the flow of empty drinks and dishes. Totally recommend the Iron Chef for a fun dinner out!

Wonderful Food, Good Service! Love the Hibachi scallops. Have been there several times and has been good every time. Only complaint would be is that the comedy routine the Chefs use gets a little old, but that has nothing to do with the quality of food and service, so I just smile and pretend I’m enjoying it… LOL

Overall, it was a good time. I had steak and shrimp and some of what they call«egg yoke» on the side. Oh my GOODNESS! The egg yoke was amazing. It’s a heart attack on a plate, naturally, but it was AWESOME yumminess. The chef cooked my beef correctly(I requested medium rare) and the shrimp was not overcooked at all. I was not impressed by the soup(beef broth with a few slices of raw mushroom floated on top), the salad(traditional American-Japanese restaurant style iceberg with some sort of sweet, pink sauce they call«yum yum» sauce – the lettuce was too wet), or the calamari(like huge onion rings and mostly on the chewy side and no little pieces). I haven’t been to a Japanese Steakhouse for many MANY years. I didn’t realize that a little comedy act of sorts is included in the food flipping and throwing. It was kind of cute. It would be very entertaining for a kid and great place to take a kid for a birthday or for teenagers on a date or something.

I take my review back, this place is great. After another go(dinner time) I realized this place has excellent service and the dinner menu is way bigger than lunch so there is PLENTY of sushi. Go during dinner time if you want a bigger selection of sushi!

Visited the Iron Chef while I was back home over Thanksgiving break. I am happy to see Marion getting a couple places with sushi! And it was quite a selection. I’d like to go back just for sushi. Wasn’t impressed with the drink they brought my mom. She ordered a Bellini and got some sort of cheap vodka with a splash of peach flavored martini. Gross. I ordered the scallops and was very impressed with them. The chef was a typical chef of his kind, but had a great sense of humor if you paid attention to him. He was a bit soft spoken. Over all the food was great. I did find the prices to be a bit high for Marion, OH. I am not sure how long this place will be around Marion at that price. Also, it seems it was a family owned business or perhaps«bring your child to work night.» A star off for this this. I really don’t like when children are running around the restaurant«helping». Especially at a place that is trying to be semi classy and slightly expensive.
