During my search for a different restaurant, I happend upon Suzan’s Market Grill. Be aware that is is now at 1210 E Court Street across the parking lot from JB’s Galaxy Food Store. There are daily specials during the week that include a meat and two sides. The gentleman who waited on me said they are best known for three things: biscuits and gravy, cheeseburgers and salisbury steak. The breakfast menu did look good, but I was here at lunch time. I ordered the Jose Burger — a chili cheeseburger with sour cream and jalapenos. The homemade chili reminded me of sloppy joe; it was rich with a little sweetness. The burger was very big and very good. The cool of the sour cream was a nice counter to the heat from the jalapenos. The accompanying crinkle cut fries were just okay. Most meals plus a drink come out to around $ 9.25. Everyone is nice, friendly and talkative. You can tell they know how to cook and enjoy making people happy. One bonus is that they have a daily complementary dessert; today was yellow cake with buttercream frosting. Alas, I had no room for said cake but I think it’s a nice business practice. On the downside, they do charge 75 cents for debit card and credit card transactions, so bring some cash.

The breakfast is awesome. My husband and I split a western omelet and an order of pancake which both were very tasty and a lot of food. I should have quit there but I had to try the sausage and biscuits and an order of hash-browns and I’m glad I did. My husband had his hash-brows loaded and said It was really good too! The service was very good and the people were very friendly. We will go back. I want to try lunch next time.
