Was here last Friday evening. The servers are not trained if at all. The food, The Moe sub, was two pieces of bun with thin, see-through, slices of some meat and pepperoni, lucky if it was 2oz. of meat. Lettuce, no way, pre-made salad chunks thrown on, no lettuce. The prices they charge should reflect a better fare. We had to ask for napkins, no setup by the waitress. The owner, seriously, should watch all seasons and episodes of Bar Rescue to learn about the business of running such an establishment.

The OK Café was one of the very first places I ate in Marion. In 2012 I was more than willing to make the trip for the BBQ alone. Fast forward four years and I have officially given up on this place. The menu has collapsed to one page with less than a dozen mediocre items. The smoked meats are gone. The pizza is beyond miserable… in a town that’s famous for miserable pizza. The nachos are a few handfuls of broken corn chips with a foil takeout container half full of lukewarm cheese sauce on the side. The subs are sub par. The drinks are weak and far too expensive, and the draft beer list seems to get shorter every time I decide to give this dump another chance. It’s a shame, really… the place has great bones and decades of local history, but that’s all it’s got going for it these days. I don’t mean to wish anyone ill, but I hope the current owners go under soon. A little guidance and direction is all this place needs to be «OK» again, but I won’t be back while it’s under the current régime.

Myself and a group of classmates have met at the OK a few times and we received very good service and food on both occasions. I got pizza both times and it was very good… I think it is equal to or better than most pizza’s in our area. Some of the others ordered appetizers and sandwiches and all seemed to enjoy what they got. This may not be exactly like the«old» OK but is very good and worth a second look for those who may have previously had a less than satisfactory experience in the past.

Food was simply«ok»… nothing to write home about nor a draw to come back. Small menu, only one BBQ choice and it tasted like boughten pulled pork, not fresh. There was no flexibility in the platter either… strictly baked beans and coleslaw as sides.

New owner has changed everything. No more lunch pizza and salad buffet. Now they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. They used to open at 11am when they had the lunch buffet, but now they don’t open until 3pm. I’m sorry, but I don’t see this place succeeding.

Food was excellent! We did a delivery order and they forgot one of the main dishes, when we called back they said they would send it over. Would eat there again!

I have been here several times over the last couple years and the food is ALWAYS outstanding. My family drives 1.5 hours from Toledo to meet up with my in-laws from Columbus and it is worth the trip every time. We get the BBQ feast plus wings(do NOT neglect their wings!) and it feeds 4 adults /2 small kids no problem. We will continue to meet here for birthdays, Father’s Day, etc. for a long time to come.

Been here a couple of times now, and it’s one place I would have found without Unilocal– went with friends who live nearby. I had heard they had good barbecue. I heard right. It’s a surprise, in a bar in Marion, but it’s the real deal: slow-cooked meats. I wanted to try everything, so I got a combo. You can pick your own; I chose ribs and brisket. They were both very good. Tender, smoky brisket, and slightly tougher(read: just a little effort to pull apart) and tasty ribs. I’ve heard the pulled pork is good too. There are the usual sides. I had the baked beans, a good tangy multi-bean version; and the mac and cheese, which was up there with the best I’ve ever had. Also came with soft, sweet cornbread, and your choice of sauce. I liked the prairie fire; also tried the mustardy house sauce and a strawberry bbq, both good but just not what I was in the mood for. I stuffed myself, and still had a full meal to put in the to-go box… My friends had pizza and I stole a slice, which was pretty good. Service was good. The place is a cozy old bar/restaurant, lots of wood and seemingly all locals.

Stopped in a for business lunch yesterday. I’ve been here a few times before and the food was always great. My experience this time was not as stellar. They seemed to be short staffed and I think that may have been the root of the issues I experienced. While we were working and not watching the clock, the wait for our food seemed a bit long. I ordered the sandwich and side, pulled pork and coleslaw. I tend to be picky about coleslaw and this wasn’t my favorite. The pulled pork was good, but was hugely messy for a working lunch. One of my pet peeves is having to wait for the check and wait we did. Again, they seemed to be short staffed on this day, but the wait for the check, and then to have the check picked up, was excruciating. I’ll certainly give them another try, but this visit could have been much better.

Recommended! O K Café is smoked meats and pizza — and both are good stuff. I was visiting with my son and as I pulled up it looked like a bar. It’s all ages for lunch and dinner, but adults only after 10pm, so it worked out great. It’s in an old building and the interior is exposed brick walls and old woodwork. It’s got lots of character. The guy running the smoker knows what he’s doing. I had the smoked prime rib with baked beans, collard greens, and cornbread. The prime rib was served with horseradish and au jus. The meat was extremely smokey, which I loved. The au jus was heavily seasoned and a great complement to the meat. The cornbread was decent and the beans were greeat. The collards were too vinegary for me. O K offers a dozen or more sauces for the meat from traditional sauces to thai peanut and strawberry bbq. I would like to try them all. O K had a decent selection of draft beers. Others in my group had ribs and pizza. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was great. I was in town for races at Mid-Ohio.

I grew up in Marion and have many wonderful memories there, from the first Wrestlemania to several Super Bowls. It has changed over the years, and I haven’t been back in about five years, but it’s an establishment in M-Town, where local flavor is constantly steamrolled and replaced with big boxes and chain food.

I was in Marion on a business trip. Someone told me to check this place out. The BBQ was amazing. I would have never stopped in here if I didn’t hear about it beforehand. Friendly service, nice drink selection, and very good BBQ. Good stuff.
