Great relaxing atmosphere and wonderful food! The best place to dine in Marion. Tilapia and pasta dishes are my favorite.

Great food, good service and a great environment. Whether you’re out for date night or dinner with the kids, I recommend this Italian eatery! Only negative that keeps it from five stars is the pricing(a little high), but the heaping plates make up for the high prices.

I had decent luck with the service, and I like the atmosphere. The food is mediocre at best. They are supposed to be known for their steaks, yet I have never had a decent steak there and have given up on ordering anything steak in the future. Pasta dishes are fine, appetizers good, although, I have to agree, the bread sticks are not good and have never been.

Didn’t know what to expect in Marion, OH at an Italian restaurant. I wasn’t disappointed! Had the Chicken Piccata and it ranks as high as any I’ve had elsewhere. The onion dip as an appetizer, not so much. Nice place, will come again.

Speratic service but very good food once you gain their attention. The restaurants tables were about half filled. There were 8 employees including a manager and hostess who were serving and bussing tables. No employees made eye contact.

Ate here with family while were in town visiting. The service was excellent — our server, Morgan, stopped by often and had an appropriate sense of humor. A previous reviewer said the menu is limited, but I’d say the exact opposite: the menu is huge. I had the sausage pasta, which was excellent. My husband had the BBQ chicken flatbread, which he said was good. The house salad dressing was pretty good, the breadsticks meh. My biggest complaint would be that they don’t have a liquor license to serve wine on Sunday’s, which is a real disappointment. I would come back here when I was in Marion again, especially if it was nice enough to sit on the patio.

Happy hour drinks and price are off the chain. Happy hour lasts until 9pm. The lobster bisque is rich but very good. The aha tuna appetizer is yummy. I totally recommend this place.

The service is horrible. Rarely saw the waitress once we ordered. Never heard a please or thank you from her. Had to complain it the manager which I do not like to do but Aurora was rude.

The menu is limited and once your food has arrived, forget ever seeing your waitress again. The bread sticks are laughable, I’ve had better at Little Caesars, they’re small and hard on the ends and you and your table mates each get 1 I’ve been there 4 times; the first time I wanted to try it. The second time; another couple wanted to meet us there. Third time, I was there because my brother wanted to try it. Fourth time, bosses birthday and he wanted to try it. The quality of the food has been tough each time and the temperature has never been up to participate for any of my dining companions. The parking lot is packed on the weekends – the singles meet up there and are parked all the way around the bar; never at a table. I don’t understand how they can keep their door open only on what they make on alcohol because I’m sure people aren’t actually going there to eat.

I recently visited Rosa & Rocco’s for my third time. Each time I have eaten there it has been great! I recommend the Lobster Ravioli! This last time I had plain old spaghetti(because it was lunchtime) and it was delicious as well. I personally don’t think it is over priced when you compare to the prices of other restaurants in Marion and the quality of THEIR meals and service! I was greeted immediately by Tony and had a great server(Christian)! Both of them continued to check on me and make sure I was enjoying my lunch! I suggest asking for one of them when you go in, if you have had trouble with the service!

Ate here for the first time on 10÷11÷14. My wife had the Margherita pizza, a salad, and a Mojito. She commented that the drink was ok, the salad was good(minus the peppers and red onion), and the pizza was bland — not bad really — just lacking in any real punch of flavor. I tasted a bite of her pizza and agreed — not bad, just mediocre. I had the Lazagna($ 14) and found it to be good. Had some very complex flavors which left me studying the dish with every bite. Definitely a little bit of Fennel, just couldn’t put my finger on some of the other flavors. My only two complaints about the dish would be that 1) the sauce was chunky and I specifically asked my waitress if the sauce was smooth or chunky, and 2) the meat in the dish had good flavor, but was dry. I would give the lazagna a 3.5 — 4.0 out of a possible 5 stars. Service was very good, and the inside was slightly upscale as it felt like we were at Easton. $ 33 for meal and $ 7 tip. I would try it again. Not bad. Just not out of this world either.

It’s been a year since our first visit and hoped for the same great food. However, my spinach salad came with raw, seriously raw — no brown at all — bacon. My husband liked his burger and the lobster bisque was great. Our server was friendly and very apologetic about the raw bacon. This place has so much potential. Perhaps the owners need to be around more to manage the quality.

We have eaten here a couple of times hoping the food would improve. Each time it had been very disappointing. For a new restaurant that is based on Italian cuisine and steak, I haven’t found one menu item that I would truly recommend or would rave about. The service has always been great and prompt. I do not think we have waited more than 10 minutes from the time we were seated to getting our food. The food is over priced for what you get. We have gotten different versions of the exact same food every time. There doesn’t seem to be consistency in the food. The best thing about our dinner was the salad. We had very high hopes to find a usual hang out spot, sadly this fell short. My recommendation would be give it a try and make your own opinion. Marion is very limited on options, personally I wouldn’t consider this to be in the top 5 places to eat. I can honestly say that when we are discussing places to eat, rosa’s is rarely brought up.

I seem to have had a different experience here than many of the other reviewers; frankly, I thought this place was great. I tend to be very critical of Italian restaurants because anyone can make average Italian, but it is rare to get good Italian — and this was really good. We got two appetizers, the bruschetta and the mozzarella marinara. Both were good, but the bruschetta could have benefited from a bit more cheese. Everyone got salad as well and the veggies and such were fresh and crisp. We also tore through 3 servings of bread sticks(best when fresh and warm). Three of us got the steak and pasta(one marinara, two alfredo) and fourth got a ribeye. Everyone’s steaks were cooked properly to the desired done-ness and the pasta was great. Three of us ordered dessert as well, one tiramisu, one brownie sundae, and one cherry cobbler. The desserts are humongous and could fed 3 – 4 people each. The desserts were also excellent(mmm, cherry cobbler). Two negative comments: our server was a high school-aged girl and although she was attentive, she didn’t seem to have the depth of knowledge that a great server at a restaurant would typically have. Second, I do not know if Ohio or Marion County has some draconian liquor law, but we were not able to order non-beer alcoholic drinks during our meal on Sunday evening. Boo outdated laws…

I had a very sub par meal here and paid too much for it. We had salad – a bowl of uninspired salad mix with a few red onions and sorry black olives with Italian dressing served with tongs for sharing. I had the lobster bisque. It was fine. I could taste the sherry and it was nice and creamy with zero grit. But my pasta carbonara with chicken was not good. I have never had a carbonara like that. Extremely thin sauce and the chicken didn’t even seem to be seasoned. It was a bit rubbery, as was the prosciutto. My friend had shrimp with asparagus. The shrimp were puny and the asparagus was wide and woody. It was overpriced and not great. The ambiance seemed okay(black and white, airy and clean) and I was happy about that at first. But the lackluster service and disappointing food killed the vibe for me.

I visited this place on Valentine’s Day along with some family. When we arrived @6:30 we were seated right away, even though they had«squeezed us in» for our reservation. We ordered a bottle of wine, which took a little longer than usual to arrive. Our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed, and she immediately told us that it was very busy. I’ll repeat that it was Valendtine’s Day. Of course it was busy. We were patient, but starting the evening off hearing excuses did not impress us. The waitress returned a bit later and took our order. Of course, with only one or two truly vegan options on the menu, my turn read like that scene from When Harry Met Sally(no, not that scene… the other one, silly!). I asked for GF pasta– nice that they offer that– with arrabbiata sauce and all the vegetables they could find in the kitchen. I will pause here to say that I get it. It’s not on the menu. However, if you’re going to advertise and charge like a higher-end restuarant, then it’s expected that you’ll accomodate folks with special dietary restrictions. Look, it’s just how it is. To my surprise, they do not have an arrabbiata sauce on the menu. Disappointing, but no problem. I decided to go for the pomodoro sauce. This whole thing threw the waitress off, and she began scanning the menu for something similar to what I ordered. She found a shrimp pomodoro and wrote that down. I repeated that I am vegan. I don’t eat fish. She wrote that down, and we continued. I asked her to just have the chef add whatever vegetables he/she had in the kitchen. She replied that they didn’t really have too much. Really? Just scanning the menu I saw broccoli, spinach, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, and sauteed onions. I read those off and had her write it down. Mercy. Our salad arrived with cheese all over it, even though I’d told the waitress I am vegan. My family was kind enough to take the top portion off and not toss it further into the salad. The dressing was good, but the it was composed of iceberg lettuce, which I generally don’t love. I did enjoy the pickled peppers, however. As the evening progressed, we ordered a second bottle of wine. An appetizer arrived– veal something– and everyone seemed to really enjoy that. The waitress popped by to let us know that they were boiling the water for the GF pasta, and our meals would be a bit longer for that reason. Ah well, good to get an update. Our entrees arrived and looked lovely(we did have to flag the waitress down one mroe time for red pepper flakes and parm for the table). I had a few bites and was quite impressed with the final product. It was a nicely balanced pomodoro with spinach, broccoli, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, and carmelized onions. In fact, I think they should just go ahead and add this to the menu. That and a good arrabbiata sauce. I noted that another dish at the table had some beautiful asparagus. I’d have added that to my dish too, had I seen it earlier. All in all, the food was quite good and the wine list was decent. This is the reason for three stars. In fact, if I were rating it on the food alone, I’d probably give it four stars. The waitress was nice, and I realize she was doing the best she could. I just think, however, that there was some room for improvement in the service. It seems from reading other reviews, this is consistently an issue.

Traveling home to Dublin from NW Ohio, we stopped in Marion for dinner and happened apon Rosa & Roccos. The building is beautifully decorated and the restrooms were cleaned. I went 3 stars because, for Maion, this is a great restaurant. If this were in Columbus, I’d rate it a 1 or 2 star restaurant and not return. The waitress could have been friendly(notice I did NOT say friendlier), the kitchen was a bit slow and the food was just ok. The kids menu was limited but worked for my son. The lasgna looked delicious but lacked a wow factor. The Marinera sauce on the spaghetti lacked seasoning. Our meals included bottomless salad and breadsticks. The salad was colorful with a trio of peppers but the dressing was bland. The prices were average for an italian restaurant, too bad this place is below average overall.

Quality of food was good, service was so, so. The atmosphere was nice, but would have really benefited from excellent service. I was surprised they didn’t have a kids menu, so I would not exactly consider this place kid friendly given the prices. It’s worth checking out given the limited options in Marion for decent dining. Hopefully, they will work on the service aspect over time, and that will make a big difference.
