Okay. So you go to lunch and go to start your car. Nothing happens. Your heart sinks into your stomach and you curse a little bit. On the advice of a coworker, I called Scott’s. I spoke with Stephanie who was really helpful. She would send a tow truck out. It would be $ 50 to jump start or if it needed to be towed to my dealership(40 miles away) it would be $ 150. Both seemed reasonable. Granted, it did take about an hour before the truck showed up — but honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had a tow truck show up before an hour. The truck operators were polite, friendly and apologetic. They got her started and analyzed that the battery was the issue, not the starter or alternator. I followed them back to their shop to settle up. It was verified by a mechanic on site that the battery was the issue and I was given a quote for the battery. The only reason I didn’t get one there was that the car might need the computer/electronics reset at the dealership afterwards anyway. I was impressed by their honesty and professionalism. The cost was $ 50 as they had stated. I recommend them!
