A few years ago two friends & myself hopped into the car & drove about five hours to come & have the biscuits & gravy here. This diner has been around for decades. It has had a few different owners but the location has always stayed the same. The atmosphere here is what makes it awesome. This restaurant reminds me of Marissa’s version of «Cheers». Everybody seems to know each others name & not just the staff but the customers are all friendly. The service here was very good. The servers were very attentive & they actually would ask how your morning was going & would have a conversation with you. This place usually is pretty crowded in the morning but they have plenty of tables & plenty of spaces in the parking lot. The restaurant itself is not that big but when you get inside it does feel spacious & doesn’t feel crowded. This restaurant has added some new dishes to the menu such as grass fed burgers & house salads. They have also stuck with some classic home style southern food such as the fried chicken sandwich & the country breakfast platter. It is located right next to the rail road tracks & is in the downtown of Marissa. The restaurant has such a nice small town feel to it that it always makes a visit here awesome. I definitely look forward to eating here again when I visit the town of Marissa again.
