Mark O’s in Mark has the best Italian food that I’ve had since I was in Tuscany, no doubt about it, this is the real deal… Tiny little place, totally off the beaten path with two small dining rooms, it’s well worth the drive! If you’re looking for white linen table cloth dining, then this isn’t the place for you. You get a paper napkin here :) However, if you’re looking for a true taste of Italy, Mark O’s IS the place you’ve been looking for! The menu has a really nice mix of chicken, steaks, fish & pasta. My favorite is the tortalach, ymmmmmmy!!! Fresh made pasta filled with spinach & cheese, you can get it with either marinara or alfredo(I like to get both on the side & mix them myself) Salad is included with the meal, it’s a nice mix of greens with sliced tomato & hard boiled egg. The house salad dressing is creamy garlic and it totally ROCKS, make sure to ask for extra dressing when you place your order. The croutons are straight out of a package, salad is served with saltine crackers & sliced bread. The croutons & the bread are disappointing, I’d have given Mark O’s 5 stars if they had fresh baked bread served with olive oil and croutons made from day old bread. If the owners are reading this, I hope you’ll consider up charging the menu to cover the price to add GOOD bread and an option for a Caesar salad. I’d be happy to pay a little more for both. My sweetheart loves their fried cod, it is a generous portion of thick cut whitefish, deep fried to perfection and served crispy golden brown. The shrimp parmesan is a big favorite for both of us; my all time favorite meal is fried chicken with a baked potato and a side order of tortalach. The potato goes in the take out box with me to make home fries for breakfast, along with ½ the tortalach for lunch the next day. What can I say? I love carbs on the weekend! Full bar service is available and the bartender gives you a good pour for your $$. Laughter greets you when you walk in the door and as you’re leaving, so I’m thinking this must be a favorite spot for the locals to meet up with their friends. Service has been a mixed bag of tricks. It’s a small staff and you get really great, attentive service or minimal indifference. We just keep our fingers crossed & hope for the better of the two servers. Either way, the food is ALWAYS exceptional!

This is FIRST and FOREMOST, an incredible place to eat. Italian dishes that melt in your mouth, fried chicken, mouth-watering steaks, chops and so much more. A great salad and a great menu of appetizers start the meal off right. If you only came here to drink, shame on you. You are missing what this place is know for: great food.
