First for thing me, after last weeks debacle, was on a quest to find a better place. Well, it is better in many ways, price, food presentation, happy staff! Virtually no wait at 8am, so we got seated rather quickly.(Bigger than I expected, parking in the back revealed more spaces; It is in a small strip mall and was glad to use my Gps in getting here!) Potato pancakes were ordered again and my wife had again, eggs Benedict I had a side of ham. Coffee was hot and refilled often. Enough spaces between the tables so getting by was very smooth. She said it was some of the best Benedict she had ever had, so! When we got the check it was $ 22. I think we will be back to try more of the tasty items we saw on the menu. A happy staff working together made it easier to eat and no rushing made it even better!

How can you not love this place? I found them, luckily, through Groupon. And now I am a fan. It’s a family friendly, family-owned restaurant for breakfast and lunch only. I got the steak bomb sandwich and fries — the food was incredibly fresh — you could tell that even the veggies in my sandwich were freshly cut and grilled, not frozen and reheated. Even the fries were piping hot. Also, the prices are right out of the past — everything is very reasonable. I’d love to see this place busier, so if you live or work in the Marlborough area, please give them a try — they are worth it!

Service was horrendous and mind-bogglingly slow. My husband and I arrived before the couple sitting behind us and they finished their meal and paid before we even received our food. It may have just been the particular waitress serving us because everyone else around us seemed to have better luck. We are very disappointed. The food was pretty good but it was not worth the frustration the service caused us.

I eat breakfast there twice a week never disappointed. They have great special omelets on the white board. Taco omelet especially. Good coffee and good service. Get the home fries

Stopped in for a tasty breakfast. It was quiet when I arrived, but the place quickly filled up and left the one waitress hopping. She did a fine job. I had the veggie omelet and it was filled with onions, spinach, peppers, mushrooms and broccoli. And of course, cheese. A good size and with the home fries and perfect toast, it was just what I needed for a day of battle. And really, not expensive at all. Good choice, here!

Nice, clean place with very friendly service. Super pricing. The food comes without a lot of oil or fake butter, like other places use.

I went here again the other day. I got the Big Apple, which is poached eggs, cheese, bacon(or your choice of meat) on top of an English muffin. The restaurant was also giving away soup on the house! Again, I got to have the awesome Italian wedding soup. I loved it! My breakfast was amazing — the English muffin was stacked with SIX pieces of bacon. Our waitress, Semara, was very friendly and attentive. I think I had her last time, too. She’s really good at her job. Overall, I’d go back again!

Had left a 5 $ bill as tip for a 20 $ meal that day and checked my bank account to see that the waitress had nicely put another 6 $ tip on my card. Don’t think you deserved a $ 11 tip with the slow service that was given. But they gave me my money back and even a complimentary gift card after I notified them Not big on Breakfast but when we do go out for it, it’s usually between Jakes and Big Apple. Service is a bit slow and wait is always long(they take quite a while to clean off empty tables or sit empty tables). French toast is very good, which I always get. Had someone in my party order waffles– they could have been good if they weren’t drenched in whip cream(got soggy in less than 5 min)

I love this place! As far as price for quality, you can’t beat Big Apple. Portions are big, the food it hearty and the service is great. Please keep in mind that Big Apple does not have fru-fru hipster menu items like free range goat cheese and heirloom tomato omelets. That’s just not their style. On the other hand, the taco omelet or the cinnamon roll pancakes are sooooo good. This place is for eaters not foodies.

Food is always good here. Went with my friend today and had a great waitress. She was very kind! Forgot my Christmas gift there and she ran out and gave it to my friend before she pulled out of the parking lot. If you want kind service and at home cooking go here!

Not impressed at all. Having driven by this place many times, we decided to forego our usual Jakes or Sunnyside and give it a whirl. We readily found parking and upon entering, the place was bright, busy and clean. We got a table in record time according to other reviewers who experienced long wait times to be seated — but unfortunately, our luck ended there. Enter: new waitress. Ok fine — we can deal. Coffee — yuck. Ordered 2 egg bennies and a side of sausage. Told: your food will be a while, the kitchen’s backed up. Ok fine. We can last as long as our 9 month old and then we’re out. Lol food arrived. Poached eggs totally hard boiled. Hollandaise nondescript and lacking.(These things are usually swimming!) sausage links some kind of microwaved $.99 cent frozen crap. Home fries — cut potatoes wedges with no seasoning. Asked for extra Hollandaise — waited another 10 minutes. Asked for check. We’re out. And we won’t be back.

Great food, big portions and great prices. We had to wait a little long for food but it was worth it. Remembering this place for another time.

Stopped in today to grab a quick bite to go between errands. I got the turkey club on white with onion rings and a pickle. All three passed my no soggy test. Yay! The bacon on the club was crispy, generous portions of turkey, lettuce was fresh and the bread was toasted just right. The onion rings were crispy and not overly greasy. The servers were very nice and personable. Before I left, they made sure I had everything I needed. Condiments, utensils, napkins. I appreciated that very much, it was thoughtful. Nothing ticks me off more than not getting napkins or utensils with to go orders. It was fairly busy since it was lunchtime, so I did have to wait about 15 minutes. If you’re coming from work to grab a quick lunch, I’d recommend calling an order in ahead of time. If you’re dining in, don’t expect anything fancy. It’s a pretty basic place with a few tables and chairs. Clean. I felt pretty good walking out of there today. I got a nice lunch, supported a local business, and paid less than I would for a crappy value meal at a fast food place. Must come back to try the breakfast menu. The orders on tables around me looked delicious.

Recommended by an acquaintance, brought the fam here this morning. We’re BIG breakfast people and have driven miles to try new places. This is not a destination restaurant. Service is spotty. I almost got run over on my way to my table by a clueless server who decided she had the right of way over a customer. Took 5 min to put in a drink order. When the server finally came to take our food order, she immediately excused herself to attend the table next to us, leaving us hanging. It took longer than usual to see our food. Meanwhile, other tables that had been seated after us were served before us. The first two dishes — pancakes — came out about 5 min apart. My dish, a Benedict, arrived 10 min later, after the pancakes had almost been finished. The server mentioned«…an egg incident that happens more often than I care to admit» While waiting for our food,(btw the restaurant was not that busy), I looked around the small room and noticed a very dirty floor — bits of food, creamer containers, straw wrappers, not really I’d want to look at while I ate. The good itself? Decent, normal fare. 2.5 out of 5. Nothing to write home about. We go to many places that make their own hash, or have signature dishes, or are a great value. Not here.

Went for brunch today with 2 friends, they brought out the wrong food to us first off. When we did get our food finally it was very good had the cinnamon roll pancakes very sweet but good. Overall the food was good and saved it but It seemed like the staff was overwhelmed with the amount of people in such a small establishment

I was very disappointed with my latest visit to this place. My boyfriend and I have been here a total of three times. The first two were okay and the last was horrible. We got there around 1, about an hour before they closed today. We were greeted at the door and seated quickly. The lady who first came to us gave us our drinks very fast. We then waited 10 minutes for anyone to come back. Asked for more coffee, no one came. Had to ask the bus boy to get someone’s attention for coffee 15 minutes later. Food came out cold, tasteless, and unimpressive. The bill came and I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible but no one would take my credit card to pay. My boyfriend went to the car to grab some cash just so we could get out of there. The only reason I give this restaurant 2 stars instead of 1 is because the other two times were not as horrible as this. I will not be back here.

I went here over the summer with my mum. She uses a walker and both entrances have stairs which are difficult for her to climb and maneuver even if I’m holding her walker. I was not overly impressed with the food. I got the pancakes with sausage which were good but standard. My mum got the mini potato cakes and bacon which she enjoyed. The coffee was unremarkable. I might come back for take-out or a platter sometime but there are other better breakfast places around.

Wow, five stars from the last reviewer… admittedly, neither I nor my companion had Belgian waffles, but what I did have was adequate at best. Everything was edible and overpriced. A divey cash only place either has not be fantastic or cheap(preferably both and this place was neither). Home fries were literally just brown potato chunks with no seasoning, etc to speak of. I did try a latke, and it was okay, but not any better than the boxed kind and definately much greasier. Eggs were boring and undercooked. French toast was dull and uninspired. All of this would get this place two stars… but then there was the service. The service was not only lacking, but rude. We had to watch while a waitress yelled at a customer who came in around closing time while simutaneously yelling at her kid or whatever on the phone. I won’t be back to the Big Apple Deli… there are lots of breakfast places in Marlborough and this one falls way short.
