I’ve scored some pretty decent bargains here. Like many discount stores, you sometimes have to dig a little to find the treasures. I don’t mind digging. I recently found Butter London nail polish that retails for a pricey $ 15 a bottle for $ 4. I’ve also found products from Bliss and Shiseido for a fraction of the retail price. This is a great place if you’re into trendy things. Let’s face it, trends come and go fast these days so it doesn’t make sense to break the bank for accessories or clothes that will be out of style by the end of the season. The employees here are really nice too. I found the perfect plush blanket for my bed while Christmas shopping last year, but it didn’t have a price tag. I asked a man working there if he could help me. He looked around and compared it to other blankets and asked if $ 29.99 seemed fair. It really fit the $ 49.99 category I said. He took it and tagged it for me at $ 29.99, smiled, and wished me a Merry Christmas. He made my day. I would consider this a medium sized Marshall’s. Their selection in all departments is pretty good and there’s new stuff all the time.

Marshall’s is usually a destination for fickle housewives and teens, in the despairing hopes for the perfect purse or top to wear out to the club. I’m a man, however, and sequins are not my thing(I do love you Marc Bolan and David Bowie). I go here for cheap gym shorts, the occasional discounted scarf or the considerably priced dress shirts. I like Ben Sherman. I can find his dress shirts here. There is always the occasional thrift store type find in the housewares section in the back. Yes, a salt crystal is nothing less than magical.

This is the Marshall’s for purses. Their purse department is neat and organized and well put together. And they have great options for cheap.
