Pete installed a soapstone sink and vanity top for our bathroom. After the first installation was botched, he also re-templated the area, but never showed up to replace the botched work. This experience was a nightmare. I recommend staying away from this guy. My bathroom designer hired Pete to create and install a soapstone vanity top and sink for a bathroom. Pete missed several appointments with the designer. He did not call or warn her ahead of time, he just didn’t show up. When he finally showed up, he created a balsa wood template, but judging from the final product, he did a bad job of measuring. He installed the sink and vanity top crooked, with significantly uneven overhang and uneven spacing on either side. The adhesive to the vanity was spotty at best. And worst of all, he positioned the sink in a way that the faucet was so close to the sink’sback wall that water got all over everything. We insisted he re-do the work(the designer ended up footing the bill since she chose him). He came back, re-templated, and then disappeared forever. No amount of calls could induce a response from him. He fell off the face of the earth, forcing us to find a new stone person, and stalling our project by a week and a half. Have not heard from him since. However, we have since learned that numerous stone suppliers won’t even work with him, according to our designer.
