Staff is RUDE, they thrift store but the item is sooo EXPENSIVE. Never go there again or not recommend to my friends.

What a difference a year makes, I visit this Savers off and on and it’s really gone downhill. I felt compelled to update my review this week after receiving abysmal customer service. Apparently the nice people from last year no longer work here and their replacements are awful. There was one dark haired young man throwing clothes on the floor near the fitting rooms and making very offensive remarks. The woman who appeared to be management was covered in gold badges of some kind but said nothing to her employee who seemed to be having a tantrum. I wasn’t the only customer that witnessed this behavior and we agreed that the store used to have better people. I didn’t find any treasures in the furniture section which was a mess and had a lot of grubby looking couches. My daughter found some jeans but didn’t want to try on anything else because the fitting area was so scary. How sad, this place used to be so friendly.

The staff is always hardworking and helpful, however the prices are often too high for the state of the product. Used candles for $ 10, bags of broken crayons for $ 3? Sometimes theres a deal but overall too expensive for used clothing.

Newest Savers we have been to, and it didn’t smell like a nursing home so A+ for that! The Framingham Savers has a distinct old-stuff-someone-washed smell but clean store smell here. If you know what resale value is(or just the value of things period) you can get great deals if your timing is right, We found two Brookstone dispensers for $ 4.99 each which still sell for $ 40 new! And we got a beautiful brand new medicine cabinet for $ 5 with a retail value of $ 20. Keep bringing the good merch, Marlboro Savers!

I think this Savers location is very nice, and I’ve shopped at Savers for 15+ years. The odor that people mention is the cleaning solution they use. The town made it mandatory they clean in order to alleviate any bugs. Almost all Savers have this smell, and if you buy used you should always wash things anyways. I found quite a few items new with tags or in great vintage condition at this location. Some employees there are super friendly and some not — what do you expect they don’t get paid great and deal with a little bit of everyone. I wish they had half price tag day as well as sometimes the prices can be somewhat high for used items. One thing I’ll say, savers thinks just because an item is say, from Ann Taylor, that they have to mark it high. If it’s from 1990 it’s not worth that much anymore! Overall they provide a good value and this location always seems very clean.

Savers is a great addition to the community in Marlboro. This location is bright, clean and very organized. They have a wide variety of used items for sale including: clothes, shoes, knick-knacks, wall art, household items and even some furniture. CAUTION: do not buy clothes from this location — if you do immediately seal them in the bag and throw them in the washing machine on hot as soon as you get home. I have heard from a very reputable Marlboro town source that this location does not fumagate their clothes and their have been bed bugs noticed. This is a great place for families that are in need to pick up gently used items at a great price. The clothing prices were really great.

Marlborough really needs to attract other retailers other than discount/thrift type stores on the East side of Route 20. No more bakeries, nail salons, pizza joints, and dry cleaners. There are more than enough. Same goes for these types of stores. In one strip mall there is Savers, Ocean State Job Lot, and Marshall’s. Seriously. However, I do think Savers at least serves as something that’s needed in the community since they are a thrift store rather than a discount store. While I might prefer to see some higher end retailers drop anchor here, I realize that it’s a personal preference. So, I decided to check it out today. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s very clean, big, extremely well organized, and I found a few things I liked. The employees are friendly and helpful. They had a lot of household items, clothing, toys, electronics, purses, shoes, etc. All in clean and good condition. Unlike some thrift stores who just throw donations wherever and don’t care about condition, they seem to do a very good job of sorting things and not just filling shelves with broken and useless junk. I probably won’t shop here often, but will check it out every once in awhile to see what’s new.

Big store. Great selection of everything. Good prices. 3 pairs of men’s shoes for under $ 30. Absolutely worth the drive from Worcester. One downfall — no daily color for half off savings.
