Wildwood Steakhouse

Here is my Haiku Review:
Broccoli was cold
The service was just OK
Kids meals were too big
Food not too tasty
Steaks were not cooked correctly
We will not go back

Excellent Steaks! I have to say that I consistently have a great meal here with great service! I have been a few times and will continue to go back.

Service is extremely friendly and welcoming! The food was great; tasty, good presentation, excellent price, served hot. The ambiance is a bit loud and more casual than traditional steakhouses.

Grew up in the area but hadn’t been here in 35 years or more as I am not a steak person. But we went as a group of 4 for a friend’s birthday and I was very impressed. It’s modern, big, energy is good, felt like i was back in NYC out at dinner after a day of work. Of course the menu is very diverse so I got the plank salmon. It was excellent. They have a large separate bar area. Our server was excellent. The meals presented well and everything came out in a good amount of time, allowing us to chat and such. As busy as they were, they do not rush you. We had apps, wine, main course and dessert and they even brought out a birthday cake. Was a very good experience, one i wasn’t expecting for some reason. Best to have reservations, we did. 4 stars because the parking was a little crazy but we did find a space along the fence. Looking forward to going again.

Wildwood is my go to for a nearby steak dinner. The service might be slow, but the food is always top notch. Appetizers are good, stakes are always fantastic and done to perfection. Even though they are a little pricey. Overall, five out of five.

Popular. Need a reservation on a busy weekend. Food was great. Prime rib was superb. Service excellent.

I had an annual holiday party here Saturday night for 30 women. I booked the party in August and was told I was the first to book and that I would get the upstairs room. Imagine my surprise when I got there Saturday night and ended up in a tiny alcove with 30 women. You could not move around. I had also asked for 2 good size side tables for yankee grab gifts. When I got there was 1 very tiny table. I told them I needed 2 good size tables and was told they were out of tables. I told them this was unacceptable and that they better find one or go buy one for me. We had 2 men taking drink orders or should I say they stood there waiting for people to come to them. I had to tell them how to do there job and to squeeze around everyone and ask if anyone wants a drink. Appetizers with the drinks were supposed to all be out by 7:15. Didn’t get half of them until 7:50pm.
The biggest issue of the night was the owner. I went to the hostess station looking for a manager because the room was roasting. They pointed to the owner and I went over to him. I told him it was 90 degrees in the room. He called me a liar … yes a liar and told me the room was 74 degrees. Now maybe the thermostat was on 74 but trust me it was 90 degrees. Then I began to tell him about my frustrations with the room. He called me a liar again! I started to walk away but then turned back and told him all I wanted was a sorry… but instead got rudeness. He said he was sorry but in a deer in a headlight type of way. Why should he care he made $ 1300.00 off of us that night but I will never go back there… EVER! P. S. — The entrees were terrible except for those that had the scallops.

Been here many times but it had been a few years. Went on a Saturday night. First thing, sitting down, the wood table was sticky. Ew. Ordered our meals and some wine. Had our salads and apps and no wine came. The waitress was very good and friendly and commented twice about wine not being there. She finally came over with the wine bottles and poured us very generous glasses, to make up for the fact that we had waited fifty minutes for the wine. Steaks were cooked fine, rib roast a bit too thinly cut and quite uneven in its cut. Salads nothing special. If they had given us our wine in a timely manner, we might have even ordered another glass, so they lost money on us there. Overall, we will go anywhere else besides Wildwood for a steak now. For entrees at that price, there are places with a bit less tacky tables and will get you your wine!

Good steakhouse and one of the only shows in town. The cocktails are good as well, which is even rarer.

We of course had to come back and it was equally just as amazing! I am really hard to please lately (I am pregnant and very particular) and our service and food was above and beyond. The spinach artichoke dip was to die for and they changed the French onion soup. It is darker richer flavor and just amazing. The manager was super helpful and so kind. Our amazing waitress Laura not once made me feel awkward or crazy with how I ordered any of my food which was so helpful. Laura really is the best waitress we have ever had! Cannot, CANNOT recommend this place more! So happy we found this place!!!

Short and True: 1hr. 30+ minutes and dinner was still not served. My son’s filet (ordered Medium) comes out bleeding. Waitress was kind, not her fault. Removed tenderloin from bill sent 2 desserts home with us. The wait ruined dinner and we were not the only table waiting.
Will not return

Went here for my birthday yesterday and wow! This place is so friendly!
It was cold so they turned the air off for me, they brought me a huge cake! And the server Jenna was so sweet!
I had a wonderful experience my steak could’ve had a little bit more flavor but I am so pleased with customer service that I will return!

My boyfriend and I got a gift card for Christmas and waited until our «anniversary» to go since we heard it was pricy. We made reservations and when we arrived we still had to wait 30 minutes. The food was great. Their salads before the meal were huge. Their steaks were cooked perfectly and we both really enjoyed our meals. It was not as pricy as I was told and even though it looks really nice inside there was not a «dress code». Some were dressed up others in jeans. It was a great atmosphere. The only complaint was waiting 30 mins after our reservation. Other than that it was great!!!

My husband and I came here after reading the reviews on Unilocal.It did not disappoint. This was an awesome restaurant my waitress was incredible although I can’t remember her name now I feel bad. The food was amazing. I had the prime rib it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the ribeye steak. It came out cooked exactly how he asked for it. Medium-​rare. We had never been here before so the waitress went above and beyond for us. The portions were huge and she even gave us a huge piece of cake just for coming in for the first time and wrapped it up for us because we were too full to eat it. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time on Valentine’s Day, the second we walked in the hostess asked if we had been helped yet and was very apologetic when she found out we hadn’t been. When we were seated we were served pretty much right away. The service was a little slow but you can’t expect much when going out to eat on Valentine’s Day. I ordered a medium rare steak and it was pretty bloody. We ordered the chocolate cake for dessert and it was sort of dry. When we give our take out boxes we were given a cheesecake instead of the chocolate cake we had ordered. Overall it was a good experience I look forward to going back again on a regular night.

Great oysters and a lively bar. Onion soup good, but not great. Great shrimp cocktail.
Variety of steak offerings somewhat disappointing.
Teriyaki steak very good as were the Romanov potatoes.
No room for desert.
Service friendly and professional.
Will return.

Excellent food and service.
We ordered oysters for the appetizer and they were fresh and tasty. I ordered shrimp scampi and it was just delicious. My friend ordered the prime rib and he loved it. Also the entrées come with a reasonably large salad which was nice. I think it was great luck that we found this place in Marlboro!

After a 5 year hiatus, moved back to the Marlborough area and made this one of my first two stops for dinner. In 5 months I have now been back 4 times and have ordered food from take out 3 more. The food is fantastic, the restaurant itself always seems to be at the perfect balance of busy but not loud and the service has always been friendly, attentive and very efficient.
This is one of those places that you hope doesn’t mess with what is working and is around for along time!

What an awesome place, the hostess was very nice and made sure to go the extra mile to make my group feel comfortable.
Most of all, the steak I ordered was extremely tasty. Simple but delicious. There is no greater place for me to eat, from now on I will return here each time I am in the area. I got the cowboy steak plate. Such a delicious cut of ribeye!
