I just choked down the saddest meatball parm I’ve ever had. The meatballs looked and tasted like they were boiled in water. They were a really odd color, sort of a light tan or beige. They were placed with almost no sauce in a doughy roll. And it was $ 10.00! They did manage to melt the cheese correctly.
The wings that were ordered well done were tightly sealed in a foil tin with a plastic top ensuring a soggy mess of tiny breaded fried chicken with little taste. Maybe their other items are better or at least packaged correctly for carry out. Wings only stay crispy when delivered in a pizza box.
Didn’t even keep the leftovers.

1^st time ordering from Cibo and 1^st review on Unilocal.Very conflicted about leaving a less than stellar review but it is what it is.
On the plus side, they seem like nice folks. Very pleasant on the phone. Delivery was relatively quick and the driver was courteous. Our order was correct. All good.
The food however was average at best. Maybe we caught them on an off night?
Really hoping to like the place but I doubt we’ll give it another try. There are better options in Medford.

I have ordered from here several times. The food is always good, and most of the time the service is good. But who in the hell leaves their business to be run by a bunch of teenagers on Super Bowl Sunday??? That place was a sheet show. I showed up35 minutes after i called in my order for a pizza and a salad. When i got there my pizza was ready, but not my salad. I paid for it. Then I waited. I joined the crowd waiting… After another 15 minuets, and watching the group of teenagers text on their phones, discuss ‘How many super bowls have their been?’ I said hey, we still waiting on a salad? When I heard I think so, I can check (really you can check if the person who has been waiting here, really could have left?) On that note I said no you aren’t checking give me my pizza that has now been sitting there at least 20 minutes, and you keep the salad.
Too many other places in the area for you folks to let this happen on such a busy night!!! I won’t be back.

I purchased a $ 14.00 salad i asked for a couple of anchovies on the side and was charged an additional $ 2.00. It was totally crazy to be charged $ 2.00 extra after paying for the salad. The amount of time to take out food is always to long. In business sometimes you don’t have to overcharge to pay the bills. Great food but bad business practice.

I have ordered from this place many times since I moved to Medford six months ago. I always order delivery. I have not once had a bad meal at Cibo. I’m very picky when it comes to food and they have been on point every single time. I usually order Linguine Positano it suppose to be Capellini but I change it cause by the time it’s delivered to my home it would be overcooked it’s a very delicate Pasta. I also order Sicilian Pizza, Porchetta Sandwich and the Speciality Arugula and Prosciutto pizza. As far as taste and quality of ingredients for the price Cibo is my go to place for Italian food. I never care how much an Item cost I first look at the ingredients and how it’s prepared and finally how it tastes and if I was satisfied. I see plenty of restaurants on Unilocal especially in Medford who have 4 plus Stars and the quality of there food is below average. They serve old pre made food that’s been sitting in the refrigerator for a month. I notice when people review on here the first thing they mention is how big the portions are. The food can be crap but because there getting a big portion and feeding there family for a week that place deserves 5 stars? I don’t think so. So my review about Cibo is true and from the heart. Dont waste your money on the other Italian junk these other restaurants call food. Thanks hope this helps you in your decision.

Ok I’ll give it 3 stars because the food didn’t taste bad at all. But it definitely made us sick. Both my fiancé and I ended up with very upset stomachs after our meal that we got from Cibo by Illiano.
The price we paid for the food wasn’t enough apparently… It had to come back to bite us in the ass… Literally.
The driver was very nice and offered to help me bring the food in since I was carrying the baby but other than that… Yeah, just be wary.

I am updating my review to add an extra star since over the last year I think they’ve really upped their consistency and added delivery, which is a rarity in this area and much needed/​appreciated! :)

Love this place. We order take out from here about once a week. Never a problem, food always prepared fresh and delivery is quite timely. We love our Cibo and recommend you give it a try.

First time at Cibo. The porchetta sandwich was on a big piece of focaccia and had great flavor, although it could have used more pork for the size of the bread. I ordered long hots along with the broccoli rabe and honestly couldn’t taste them. Maybe they forgot? I thought the grilled chicken verde on a wheat wrap was good.
The espresso was great that they get from Italy. The owner is from Napoli and was very personable along with the other staff. Plenty of dessert to choose from, cakes, cheesecakes and italian parfaits that come in glass cups. The lemoncello mascarpone cake had nice lemon flavor, but is best when thawed to bring it back to its moist and creamy texture. The coppa caffe had delish coffee flavor with the frozen cream and topped with chocolate covered coffee beans.
I will be back.

I placed a GrubHub order tonight from Cibo by Illiano and I’m so happy! Everything is delicious: the bread and salad are fresh, the rustic chicken soup was to die for (tortellini and big pieces of white meat chicken), and the chicken francaise is scrumptious. They delivered quickly and the delivery guy was very nice. I was lucky to get my order in minutes before they closed. My only regret is that I didn’t tip more than the suggested 15%.

I order from here at least three times a week. The pizza is delicious and the porchetta sandwich is to die for. Not to mention, the owner and staff are all awesome and welcoming… happy to finally have great italian take-​out in the area.

Delicious, fresh, & homemade dishes! Yum! I love having a local family-​owned place that makes food the way my Italian grandmother used to.

First time ordering from Cibo, and I can assure you it won’t be my last. I got a large plain pizza and it was outstanding. Very fresh, excellent flavor in the sauce and perfect amount of cheese. The store is cool looking, and the gentleman at the counter was extremely friendly. Very happy to find this gem.
