Rothman Institute

I had a very bad experience with a PA in this urgent care… I went to this facility to see a doctor and was seen by a physician assistant that was in a hurry… months later and I need surgery on my foot after she said it was «just a SPRAIN»… Kris needs more training and supervision… she didn’t even say to follow up or anything just rice the foot… no note for work nothing… I will never want to be seen by her ever again.

I have been experiencing tightness, & ache lower right side, since last week, so I went to Chiropractor. 3 sessions in, prognosis-​was Compressed Pinch nerve.
I went to work this Monday, & the pain went dull ache, to escrusiating, could nt hardly sit or stand. Due to my own stubborness from squats last Monday, I felt tightness, but pushed thru it.
Needless to say I went to Rothman –The Urgent care, no appointment necessary & same great care & Dr’s, as in normal one, it would be 4 – 6 wk lead time til appointment .
I was escorted upstairs to X-​rays, then nurse took me to Exam room & Dr was shortly in to see me. I told her what was going on, & after she assessed me, she told me it was NOT a Compressed pinch nerve. But the Sacroiliac Joint: The Sacroiliac joints help make up the rear part of the pelvic girdle and sit between the sacrum bone and the Ilia or hip bones.
Well I had ALL the classic symptoms, so she sent Anti-​inflammatory script, & it bruised, so Now I am on limited cardio, no weights til this bruising heals.
Damn.But least its just bruised & inflamed.
Return visit: Hope not, But if I ever need specialist, This is where to go…
From foot, spine & neck, they are personable, & thorough! .

Love the staff here, their professionalism and the email and phone reminders. They’re extremely easy to reach and a physician’s assistant will return your call before most other places. The only downside is that, as a teacher, it’s difficult to get in here before 3 PM; so like today, I had to take a half day.
Dr. Salvo has done one of my knee surgeries and continues to see me when in need. Unlike most pompous, overbearing osteo doctors, this guy is down-​to-​Earth and still maintains his professionalism.
You get the best doctors the city has to offer, with the convenience of a Jersey commute.

This facility is extremely well run. Waits are minimal, however, so is the time that most Rothman docs will spend with you. Have your list of questions ready. They’ll be out in a flash!

I am writing this review to counteract my experience at Concentra Urgent Care in January. I posted a scathing, lengthy review of their practices after sitting in their office in utter pain for hours before being turned away by an alleged doctor on a day when my primary was out of the office.
I would recommend anyone with pain to visit the Rothman Institute. After the January incident at Concentra, I had my doctor give me a referral to figure out the cause of my awful and random lower back pain.
As of today, I have my answer thanks to Dr. Conliffe. This is my public thank you.
