Main Street Pizza

We stopped in here after our campground host recommended we try it out. I think the place is more known for their takeout business. We ate in the restaurant and we were the only ones in there but people kept coming in and out for orders they had placed. The service wasn’t the best but the pizza was amazing!!! Some of the best I have ever had. I would definitely recommend to others!

Main Street Harvey, MI has above average pizzas. As long as they don’t burn the cheese. The dough is thicker but good And the sauce is pretty good. The prices are quite reasonable.
They have a good grilled chicken toasted sub – As long as it is made by Reed. There is inconsistency in subs depending on the worker. Reed takes care to make your sub to order. Today I ordered the same exact sub (grilled chicken with various trimmings) and it was a mess. I watched the kid just sloppily throw the stuff in it. It was a mess eating it. Another time I ordered the pizza sub and another kid burned the bread (black).
Reed puts the sub together with care and it is fine looking and great tasting sandwich– not a mess. It is toasted in their pizza ovens and heats the sandwich throughout and has a nice crisp to it. I suggest getting it with Italian dressing on it.
My coworkers get food there almost daily and if Reed doesn’t answer the phone they hang up – that tells you how inconsistent the other workers prepare the food.
I would say pizza is 3.5 to 4 stars.
Grilled chicken sub by Reed 4.5 stars.
Overall rating ends up 3 stars for because of the lower quality food prep by other workers there.

We were staying in a hotel room and we ordered from here. It was cheap and they delivered fast. The pizza was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. When the delivery guy got to my room I was surprised that he had paper plates, napkins, and Parmesan cheese to give us. Most places don’t think of that. When I ordered the employees were professional and clear on the phone.

Love the food, hate the horrible service when they are busy. Orders tend to get messed up and delivery takes forever when busy. Reid makes the best slices.
