I must say I was quite impressed with them when I went to the emergency room. I went for a sprained neck injury that I had let fester for a few days. I had just moved to the area so I didn’t know where the walk in clinic was located, I was being impatient, so I went to the ER at Marquette General(I wondered why they hadn’t directed me towards the walk-in when I went to the ER, but oh well — I have insurance). They were really fast registering me and I barely sat down before the nurse was calling my name for me to come in to the exam room. I only waited about two minutes in the exam room for a different nurse to come in and take my vitals. She left and I maybe waited five minutes for the doctor to arrive. He examined me and determined what I already knew — that my neck was sprained. He left and another nurse came in right after him and gave me a pain killer injection. I had to wait 20 minutes in the waiting room to see if they pain killer was working. In the meantime the doctor prescribed some painkillers(which is what I wanted — I hadn’t slept well for days) and I was on my way. The whole process took less than an hour. In fact, waiting in line at the pharmacy took longer than my visit to the emergency room. It seems like these people know what they are doing and maybe I just went at the right time, but I was impressed at the quality and of care and the doctors and nurses time management skills. I felt like I was taken care of.

Best hospital in the Upper Peninsula, hands down. State of the art equipment and some of the best surgeons around. Food isn’t the best tasting but why would it be, they’re trying to get you to leave, not stay. Out of the 12 or so nurses I met while my brother was there for surgery, only 1 was a d-bag. Rude to family members faces and shouldn’t be employed in the ICU.
