I’m going to have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this particular portion of Patapsco Valley State Park. It’s small, but has tons of trails and the pavilions for rent are very nice, shaded and secluded. I will definitely be back!

This is a nice park to walk some trails or have a picnic. I have only been here in the winter, so I can’t wait to see all of the trees and flowers blossom come spring.

Coming from Hawaii hiking on the east coast has been a little disappointing. However patapsco’s waterfall hike is decent. It’s easy but pretty, particularly in the fall. McKeldin is my favorite part of patapsco state park that I have been to.

It was $ 3 per person to enter the park. Parking and the restrooms were immediately available. The trails were clearly marked. We took a large group on a 5 mile hike and it was beautiful. A nice mix of comfortable walking for people of all ages and abilities. There was a beautiful beach with picnic tables and a waterfall and we enjoyed it very much.
