I had a Saturday off and a Groupon burning a hole in my hand so I made the drive up to Cranberry to cash in. I’ve read good things about this place so I didn’t think it would disappoint. I like the whole concept of having a place hand you a fresh made pizza with the best ingredients and send you home to bake it yourself. The menu itself seems to have something for everyone, including salads. They even have gluten-free options. The pizza and salads come in various sizes. Staff is friendly and helpful, making sure if you haven’t been there before that you understand the baking instructions. I picked up a small basil and spice pizza, BBQ chicken pizza and apple and blue salad. The basil and spice pizza was excellent that night. The salad was very tasty the next day when I ate it for lunch. The BBQ chicken pizza was good the next night, but I think it would have been better if I had baked it the same night I brought it home. Lesson learned. Either way, it still wasn’t bad and I’d like to go back to try some of their other options.

Keep in mind all the stuff is take and bake! I had issues with the paper flaking off in my oven but the pizza(all meat) was super good. Even better was the salad(farmhouse) and cookie(choc chunk). Overall, really delicious and healthy!

We bought a few pizzas to bring to a party, intended as a sample. We had never had these before. All of us are very healthy eaters. They made the pizzas using fresh veggies, etc. later, we made them and all at the party really enjoyed them. Much better(definitely healthier) than your run of the mill pizza. Very different, and really good. They are not cheap(few things of quality are). They also are not outrageous price either. We thought it was a great value, and will definitely go again. This is a very good, and easy, alternative for appetizers at a party.

I ordered a pizza from here the other day after a coworker of mine had talked it up to me. Upon placing my order by phone I was told that my pizza would be ready in 15 minutes. Not wanting to wait at the shop, I gave it a little extra time and arrived about 25 minutes after I had placed the order only to be told that it was not ready yet. Since I was able to see what was going on, I noticed that it was only after I had arrived at the store that they started on my pizza. While its understandable that sometimes pizza places get busy I don’t understand why they told me 15 minutes in the first. Whenever I finally did receive the shrink wrapped pizza I thought that it looked good and the toppings fresh. I had ordered the Basil & Spice pizza on a whole wheat crust which consisted of spicy salami, basil, mozzarella and Parmesan over a red sauce. The instructions on the pizza were easy enough to follow and the pizza quickly cooked in my oven. Whenever I got to taste the pizza I thought that the toppings tasted great but neither myself nor my girlfriend were fans of the whole wheat crust as it did not seem to have any flavor whatsoever. The bottom line for me is that I will head back here in the future. Since the toppings were good, I am hoping that the regular pizza crust tastes better than the whole wheat.

We tried out Artisan Pizza Co due to a Groupon deal, and am glad we did. Very clean and inviting place, super fresh ingredients, friendly and helpful staff, AND the pizza was good. The crust is a bit thicker than my personal preference(super thin), but I liked that we could bake the pizza at home and eat it hot and fresh unlike delivery or take out, when it is usually warm/warmish by the time you’re ready to eat it. The salad selection was good, and the caesar that we got was good and substantial – as someone else noted, there is more salad in the container than appears(ta-da!). On top of all this, it is a locally-owned small business that sources local ingredients, so I’m happy to support them. It’s a win-win! Will be going back and definitely recommend.

I stumbled on this place on a recent visit to McGinnis Sisters and decided to investigate. Imagine, a pizza made fresh, that you take home to bake. I am a huge fan of crisp crust right out of the oven. So, I decided to give this place a try. The owner claims to use all-natural and completely fresh ingredients. So, I’m in. Being bored with typical tomato based pizza, I opted for the Barbeque Chicken pizza on whole wheat crust. A medium signature pie is $ 12.95. The ingredients are BBQ marinated chicken, red onions, Gouda, mozzarella, cilantro, garlic with olive oil glaze. I also had pineapple added for extra flavor. The owner advised of an 8 minute wait for the assembly. Next time, I will definitely call ahead to avoid the wait time. I also got an Apple & Bleu salad. It was mixed greens, sliced Granny Smith apples, bacon, gorgonzola, walnuts, dried cranberries with raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was a steal at $ 3.95. It looked very small, but went I took it out of the container, it puffed up and was a nice size. Instructions for baking are very clear on a preprinted label. You can wait up to 24 hours to bake it. The pizza is made on parchment paper that you actually put in the oven, so no pizza pan is needed. The whole wheat crust had very good. I thought that the pizza could have used a BBQ drizzle for a bit more flavor. But I really enjoyed the pizza. As for the salad, it was so good. I really loved it! Be sure to visit their Facebook page, so you can find info about specials. This is not a chain, it’s a fresh idea from a local couple. As always, I try to support local small business.

Here’s an interesting business idea. You go into a pizza joint and walk out with a shrink-wrapped uncooked pizza that you bake yourself. My wife and I were fortunate enough to meander by on a day when they were giving out free pizzas(and discounted cookies). Feeling like we had just won the food lottery, we stopped by to check it out. Result: we chose the namesake pizza — the Artisan. The place was fairly busy due to the promotion so we ended up waiting for about 15 minutes while the pizza was prepared. The«kitchen» is open so you can see the pizzas being made and wrapped in front of you. Ours was out in the time it took me to pick up some Volant Wine from next door. The whole check-out process was very unrefined. They were taking some people’s names but not others so nobody knew who’s pizza was coming up next. When we found ours, we added on a Fudge Nut Brownie and headed home to cook. Instructions were clear enough for baking the pizza and we found that we also had to cook our own cookie on top of that(not literally on top of the pizza, but rather in addition to). Not a problem, though, as the oven was already warmed up. The pizza and cookie were done quick enough, but the results were… rather underwhelming. We had ordered the wheat crust with our pizza, and maybe this was our first mistake. Actually, ordering a pizza that included«pine nuts» as a topping was the first mistake. The crust was bland and lifeless and could have used a little of anything to season it up a bit. It was hard to tell if we had left the cardboard plate attached to the bottom. The toppings were good, but overall it was the kind of pizza I would imagine being sold in the organic section next to the tofu and for marketed at people that drive a Toyota Prius. Is that really a pizza? Isn’t pizza all about the grease and cheese and the MEAT?! Beautiful meat… Even the cookie tasted«all natural» like a GNC chewy granola bar. There’s a mistake I won’t make twice. Ultimately, It’s easy to justify eating a tree-hugging pizza when it’s free, but if I had $ 10 to spend on a pizza I think I’d be tempted to walk a few doors down to Pizza Hut. At the very least they’ll cook it for you.
