Mars Brew House

This is such a great place. Great coffee and a cozy atmosphere. Owner Brad is a great guy who will make you feel at home. A must try!

Just moved to the area from Atlanta and was looking for a coffee shop that was not a chain! This place is great!!! The owner/​barista was friendly and did an awesome job making my Carmel latte. And is was cheaper than Starbucks and faster service!!! I will be back!

LOVE the Brew House! No matter what I order Brad never disappoints. Skinny Mocha latte… Iced coffee on a hot summer afternoon… salad, sandwich, cinnamon roll (my kids’ favorite) muffin or biscotti, there is something to delight everyone. And the price is right! Friendly service, quaint, small town atmosphere, comfortable seating, even private rooms available for meetings. My children love going here, too, and the owner, Brad is so kind to them, even when my 4 yr old dropped her hot chocolate (which he makes slightly cooler for the kiddos so they can drink right away)! I am so glad the Brew House is closer to me than the nearest Starbucks.

I really enjoy my morning coffee or my afternoon coffee or my late night coffee (usually with a nip in it), so I am always looking for a good coffee shop. This place certainly delivers. Mars Brew House offers many of the same coffee drinks that the big names offer but at a much cheaper rate. You name the coffee or tea and they probably will have it. If you are looking for coffees with Almond Milk or Soy Milk, sugar free syrups, they have those too. They do not offer as vast of a food selection that other big name stores but they do have a small selection of breakfast muffins.
Located in ‘downtown’ Mars in an old house that has been renovated. There is some indoor seating available as well as outdoor seating. You can also enjoy coffee on the porch. The inside is quite quaint with a few tables to sit at. They also have a small selection of books there if you are looking to read.
We were here during a slower time on the 4^th of July. The owner was extremely friendly and down to earth. He was more than happy to make suggestions based on some of the coffee’s he liked and we were both happy to try something new.
I wish they opened earlier than 8am, if they did, I would be here more often, but regardless, I will happily come back here more and more. Give this place a shot if you are near Mars and looking for a really great little family owned coffee place.

Okay, so I’m a Starbucks junkie… but wait, this is because there’s one right by me not even 5 minutes away. I also really love local places and I’m happy to support them. I happened to be in Mars today and I used my Unilocal app to search for coffee, which came up negative for Starbucks right by me (one like 4 miles from where I was at, but I didn’t have too much time to spare to fight some traffic to get there), but it did show this place about 1.5 miles away. So of course I ended up here. I’m so happy I did!
It makes me laugh when people say there’s a downtown Mars because the downtowns I’m used to are far different from what I saw here. Still, it was nice to explore. Mars Brew House is, well, a house! It’s nicely laid out with outdoor and indoor seating. I wanted to sit there and read a book for a long time. There’s an indoor fountain, updated and clean bathrooms, and different offerings to try on the menu. It’s spacious, inviting, and the comfy looking seating calls your name. Plus, Brad is so nice! I chatted with him a little bit and finally decided on a caramel latte (I think?). It was delicious! It was better that anything I’ve had in a while around my area so that’s a thumbs up. Now I wish I lived close to this place!

Delicious! Higher quality and more affordable than Starbucks. Owner is friendly and enthusiastic. Interior is very comfortable. A genuinely great small business!

Great coffee shop in a cute town.
I happen to stumble upon a small town called Mars like 30 minutes drive north of Pittsburgh.
Needing refreshment I searched on Unilocal and came across Mars Brew House. It’s a house converted into a coffee shop which is so inviting, feels like your going over for coffee to your family’s place (I’m at the patio sitting on a rocking chair and sipping my coffee drink as I am writing this).
When you enter, you go towards the counter and a wonderful coffee aroma greets you and also a very friendly barista. There is quite a few options to pick so I asked the barista what he recommend for a cold drink as I wanted something cold, he suggested an iced blended coffee with whipped cream and a syrup of your choice.
The sweetness and coffee flavor complemented each other, not one was over powering the other which is nice since I still wanted the coffee taste to my drink.
If you find yourself in Mars or even the nearby towns like Cranberry twp, don’t hesitate to try this place out. I for sure will be visiting this place again when I’m around the area.

Cozy atmosphere with a nice espresso bar. Good place to meet up with friends or maybe just for a change in scenery. Was greeted by a really cheerful guy at the bar– maybe the owner? Had a good Americana.
They offer a full espresso bar and some biscotti and baked goods, granola bars and some salads and sammy’s. I’ll probably be back with a laptop. Lots of tables, chairs and an outdoor space to sprawl out.

This is a great coffee house, with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Wifi is free.
If you’re looking for an alternative to a chain this is a great place to go. The converted house is charming. The downstairs has tables inside and out, and the upstairs has two rooms to hang out in as well.

My boyfriend HATES coffee, but he kept stealing sips of my frozen coffee. They make it super creamy and sweet. Perfect treat for summer.
I really hope this places sticks around!

Since I’m a Martian, I was excited to see that we finally have our own coffee house. My husband and I have been saying for years that it was something that we were lacking in the downtown Mars area. Not that I was excited to try their coffee, as I’m not a coffee drinker. I’m a tea connoisseur through and through, and they offer that too. What I was really looking for was a great hang-​out spot. A place to relax while I’m off duty from my Mommy job, a place to meet up with friends, and a place to kick back in with a good book and beverage. The Mars Brew House provides all of these things. It’s a very comfy, inviting place with lots of windows, a nice sounding indoor fountain, comfy chairs, a front porch with more chairs and a café patio area. This place will be great year-​round. They have a cute, kitschy décor with take-​offs on the Mars/​Martian theme. And, according to their website Saturdays from 12 – 2 pm are Acoustic Saturdays with live music by local artists. I’ll definitely have to check them out on a Saturday.
I hope that they can make it as a business though, as I was a little surprised by their prices. I ordered my favorite today, a small Chai Tea Latte, and it was $ 2.75 plus tax, bringing it to $ 2.92 (almost three dollars!). And, it was a very small serving size of about 8 oz. That’s just enough Chai to get me started and want more. My drink was at least a real Chai tea latte with steamed milk, and not a powder stirred into hot water or milk. It is a sweeter Chai flavor, less bite to it than say it’s Starbucks competition. The drink could benefit from a little more spice and a little less sugar.
If the drink price was a little lower and the Chai tea had a little more spice, I would be giving them 4 or 5 stars.
Overall, it was still a nice stop, and I welcome this business to Mars!
