This was a great experience ! Avocado Cobb salad was delicious and my margarita was awesome and not watered down. All fresh ingredients and friendly wait staff. This was awesome!

Stopped at this Max & Ermas at approximately 2:30PM on a Sunday afternoon. It took ten minutes for anyone to visit our table after we were seated. Let me add, the restaurant was near empty. My steak was bland and I was never asked what vegetable I preferred. When we totally finished eating and pushed dishes to the side away from us, it took nearly 15 minutes to have the check delivered. Hate to go there when they are busy. Terrible service and poor food equal low tip. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

First of all, JIM, BRENDAANDTONY!!! Never have I felt so welcome walking into an establishment after hours. Not only did Brenda welcome me and my work friends like a grandmother would her grandchildren, but Jim the manager cooked us anything/everything we wanted off the menu. Quesadilla — Out of this world. Philly Cheesesteak — One of the best I have ever had. Laredo Steak — O.M.G!!! Their mashed potatoes are comparable to my mothers homemade. The Cola BBQ Steak with onion rings — sounds like a strange combo but it’s AMAZING!!! Try it!!! The Steak with mushrooms on a skillet was so good too! We have zero complaints. We are all visiting from NY on a work trip and everywhere we have been has given us an attitude for coming in late, the food has been so-so, and just overall not the best experience for 4 people who are highly experienced in the restaurant business. My hats are off to you Jim Brenda and Tony! We hope to be back soon to visit you again. P. S. Not only was the food amazing but let Brenda pick your drink!!! She is spot on!!!

Coming to Max and Erma’s in Cranberry was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Our waiter took close to 10 minutes to see us but apologized because he was busy, no big deal. He took our drinks and appetizers(without writing anything down) only to come back five minutes later to say he forgot what we had gotten, again not a huge deal. We had gotten the buffalo chicken dip which tasted more like a bowl of nacho cheese with some leftover chicken bits. After ordering our food, the waiter came back again to «make sure» he got the order right since, again, he didn’t write anything down. We went through our entire order again with him. The waiter then brought our food and we had asked for ketchup. 10 minutes later, still no ketchup. I caught him as he walked passed our table and reminded him. After our meal, we wanted to buy some cookies. He went to get them, came back 10 minutes later with our checks, but no cookies. I reminded him, AGAIN. He took our checks(which I had to do a double take on because it was so expensive) and brought us our change. I had to ask him the final time to bring the cookies when he had a chance to which he finally did. The food was not very good, expensive and simply not worth the visit. Not sure what was up with the waiter but this place was very disappointing.

Very much the same as other Max & erma’s. The menu has been updated a bit but you can still get your favorite tortilla soup and fresh cookies. I miss the old nachos.

My wife tried the Cola BBQ Burger and one of their amazing Chocolate Chip cookies to go and I tried the Garbage Burger. Essentially a burger with a lot of odd toppings. Although my burger tasted good I asked for it to be cooked Medium. Medium should be slightly pink and juicy. I think the Chef thought I meant Medium Well. I’d consider trying this place again.

I was in PA on a business trip and this was close to my hotel so I decided I would stop in and see how it was. The food is great. Definitely a many steps up from TGIF and Applebee’s. The service was impeccable. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. I decided I would eat here for dinner and drinks every night this week. The cheese skewers are awesome. Boatload of shrimp amazing. Their special steak was incredible. And boy can they make a great martini. When you go, get Brenda. She definitely made this the place to go next time I am in town!!! Super funny and friendly. Made me feel welcome the moment I walked in.

Food was good but service was very poor to bad at best. had to ask for drink refill after empty glasses for over 10 minutes through the whole dinner. Then after 15 minutes of waiting after we were done with out dinner we finally got approached with our check. I had to inform our server my meal came with a cookie and my daughter wanted the Sunday bar and I would again like a refill. The place was busy but we could have been out in 45 minutes less time if we would have simply had proper service which would have opened up our table for the line of people waiting to be seated.

We went to dinner last night with a family of four. Sat in the bar area. Not sure why the reviews are are so low. Haley our waitress did an excellent job. My wife got chicken, rice and asparagus which she really liked. I got the garbage burger with asparagus which was great. My boys got a burger and grilled cheese with the sundae bar. They enjoyed every thing. We will be back when we travel through next time.

We eat here a lot, mainly burgers. Last night we opted for carry out of their $ 5 Tuesday burger special. I won’t do that again. The product is completely different than the normal burger. The bun is different, and so are the fries. No wonder they can offer it for $ 5.

The food was good, but not outstanding. I had the Garbage Burger, which has bacon, swiss, american and mozzarella cheeses, onions, guacamola, and marinara. It was excellent but I ran out of burger well before the bun and toppings were gone. My wife had the Laredo steak which is supposed to have cactus butter topping, but it only had steak seasoning. It was decent but certainly not what they advertised. My daughter had the Boudacious bacon cheeseburger. It’s supposed to have a creamy roasted garlic cheese spread but if it was there it was an extremely tiny amount. The seasoned fries had very little seasoning and tasted like regular fries. The chicken tortilla soup was good but be warned that it is spicy. The chicken fajita quesadillas were very good, spicy, with generous amounts of guacamola, sour cream, and salsa. My wife’s salad was unimpressive. Overall a decent but overpriced meal. It cost about $ 67 with two soft drinks and a milk and you can get the same food for about $ 20 less. They do have a large menu. Service was slow, even drinks.

Go see Brenda! Stopped here traveling through from Chicago. She was the best waitress EVER!!! Had a blast at the bar! Fun little place if you are staying in a hotel next door!

Food was what you would expect from a casual dining chain restaurant. I would have given them 2 stars, but the fresh baked cookies are extremely good so I thought they deserved an extra star. Word if warning: the sangria is EXTREMELY sweet. It tastes nothing like real sangria. It was so overly sweet I couldn’t drink more than 2 tiny sips. I ordered the blackberry peach flavor, so maybe the extra flavoring made it sweeter. This tasted more sugary than the soda I had earlier in the day. The other thing that brought the rating down was our service. When I asked our waitress, «Can I have a glass of water?» Her response was a sarcastic/joking, «No, you can’t.» That may be cute with your family/friends, but as a customer I did not find it amusing. Compared to other locations, I was underwhelmed by this Max & Erma’s.

This location is one of my family’s favorite places to eat. My mom took me to the Max & Erma’s in downtown Pittsburgh for years so it is also full of nostalgia for me as well. The food is always good, though there have been occasions that it has take the kitchen a couple of tries to get it right. The service is also top-noch. The servers take the time to recognize us and say«hi» even if they aren’t taking care of my section.

Just went in to get ice cream sundae bar. Annoying waitress(not mine) put cellophane on everything. I told her I was just waiting for my bowl. She growled at me. Later she came with a broom and dishpan and swept to my right and then left. Came within 6 inches of me. 5 minutes later she did it again. Never said excuse me. BTW she cellophaned everything again after i took it off. Tracy find a new job!

M&E Cranberry is a solid burger chain with consistent food quality and friendly servers. Never had a bad meal here and we go out of our way to return.

It’s taken us awhile. But we have finally found a way to enjoy Max & Erma’s. Eat in the bar. Seriously, this place is where young couples taken their crying and whining kids and for the rest of us, the atmosphere is not so pleasant. So, just eat in the bar. Even if there is an important sporting event on the flat screens, there is a lot less crying there. There is one thing the always brings me back to M & E’s. It’s the chicken tortilla soup. And while it’s high in sodium, a cup is only 230 calories. Not so bad for those of us working on «The Usual» new year’s resolution. Hamburgers are decent. Fries are good. Not great food. Decent good. Friendly service.

Okay, they get four stars because they have deep fried pickle chips(!!!) and they’re good. Not that you can really screw them up but I digress. Love the décor in this place. It’s kind of a confusing mess of things but there was a chandelier and twinkle lights so I’m in. Something about those twinkle lights. Menu didn’t do much for me. I don’t really need another place where I can get a grilled chicken salad. Boyfriend and I both got a burger that came with a side salad, fries and a bread stick. Best part of the meal was the deep fried pickles. Oh, the cookie was good too. I’ve heard great things about their tortilla soup. I really wanted a salad so I passed on the soup but my friend swears that it’s the greatest thing ever. Waitress was really attentive so I don’t know who was waiting all of these other Unilocalers. Maybe she did and she got yelled at for it? Doubt it lol. All in all, it was alright. I won’t go out of my way to go back but if we’re in Cranberry we might stop in again.

Lukewarm soup, lukewarm service — I won’t be back … I’ve had side salads larger than my $ 9 «lunch portion» and those were at least served with a smile. The breadstick was stale and don’t even get me started on the tortilla soup temperature. I should have spoke with a manager but there was no one fitting that description in sight and I only had an hour. My seven year old is somewhat of a chicken finger basket connoisseur and even he was underwhelmed with his lack of French fries. He told me to give the restaurant three stars because of the«good root beer» but too many other aspects of the meal and service fell flat. Save your money and go to a chain restaurant that actually cares about your experience — — after all, isn’t that the big picture philosophy of corporate chains?! At least it was«free cookie» Wednesday — not that my server informed me of this promotion — luckily I saw a sign.
