The bathrooms are so decrepit that you feel dirty just going into them much less actually using them. There is a smell of sewage in the lower part of the property. The entrance has an abandoned«Guard Shack» which hardly inspires confidence, and a «Welcome Center» where there was no answer to a knock on the door. You have to call someone by phone for an access code. The swimming lake is a limpid green. We felt sorry for the people who have permanent vacation homes here. This place needs a heavy duty makeover to take advantage of a pretty nice location. Until then, stay away.

This is a review on Glenwood’s camping facilities Been a good 10+ years since we’ve camped up at Glenwood. Would be our yearly trek… head up with a good group of friends, camp, horseback ride and hike in the nearby areas. Was always super cool, down to earth people we’d meet at the campgrounds, and it was always an amazing time. They’ve since changed over to an RV resort. Which is fine, but not really our style. We like camping it. Family and life got in the way, and we haven’t been back since… Until this past weekend. Needed a place to camp for the night with enough room for our trailer/boat. Boated the I & M for the first time this past weekend, and it was great! Passed the Glenwood sign along the way, and my husband suggested to stay there for the night. Gave a call… and they had more then enough room to accomidate us! Nothings changed much over the years at Glenwood. The land is still very pretty and super clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating… and you won’t be on top of your neighbor here — nice. big tent spaces — with water and electric — if needed. During the season, there is always something going on… plenty of activities for the kids, bands, pig roasts… free hayrides. Would take our daughter here when she was much smaller, and she always had a wonderful time! Being the end of the season, was a little quiet… but that was okay with us. The moon was bright, the stars were out and we had a great fire going! They have a huge Halloween weekend the weekend before Columbus day, so if you’re in the area and wanting to camp, it’s very much worth a check out! Realized we’ve very much missed this place — will be back next season — with the boat and our son for some new adventures!
