A very inconspicuous, but well run meat market on the south side of town. It’s in the old shopping center that used to house the Safeway, way back when. They don’t have a large amount of meat in the display case — although they have enough to show what they’re selling — but that’s all to the good. The great thing about a real butcher shop is that they can cut exactly what you want to your specifications. One nice thing that sets them apart from Caddo Packing, the other real butcher shop in town, is that they’re open until 7 p.m. I may still have a slight preference for Caddo Packing, but so far Black Angus hasn’t let me down. It’s a great option, and vastly superior(and not more expensive) that the supermarket butcher counter.
