We got married here summer of 2013. The owners are great hosts and still remember us when we walk in. The wine is delicious and the building is beautiful. I would recommend trying here!

Beautiful place, delicious drinks! Very clean and inviting. I’m posting from the Cadillac Co. christmas party and it’s wonderfully catered. The staff have also done a wonderful job of decorating for the season. The wine selection is great, quality is excellent, and pricing is very reasonable. Their blackberry wine will always be a favorite :)

The building and grounds are quite beautiful on the surface, and the people working there are friendly enough. But the main reason you come to a winery is the wine, and theirs is pretty awful. The menu is decent-sized but lacks in the description department. You won’t find«chardonnay» or «cabernet sauvignon» or anything else helpful(like the notes or even what year it is), just«red», «white», and«blush» and a short description telling you whether it’s sweet, semi-sweet, or dry. But here’s the thing: ALL of the wines on this menu are sweet. I sampled from each of the categories and every single one of them was like someone had dumped a pound of sugar in the bottle. The dry red, which was the first thing I sampled, tasted just like that Kaukauna port cheese spread you get at the grocery store, but sweeter. The sweet red was so sugary my eyes nearly watered… it was like liquified candy. After sampling several of the wines we felt sort of obliged to buy something, but the problem was we didn’t actually like ANY of them. So we bought a bottle of the one we thought was the least worst to split between the three of us, and sat there watching the owner and his employee spend 10 minutes trying to find a corkscrew. In a WINERY. We chose the rose(blush) and after drinking half a glass each, realized there was a serious amount of black, dirt-like sediment in the bottle(this is supposed to be filtered out, or at the very least decanted). We also got a «cheese basket» to go with it. For $ 10 you get a hunk of cheese still in the wrapper, two plastic plates, a knife so dull we struggled to cut the wrapper with it, and a sleeve of Ritz crackers. They didn’t give us anything to cut the cheese on so we had to use a plastic plate. They do have a nice selection of cheese, at least on the menu, but I’m not sure how accurate it is. We ordered the gouda but it came out with the color and taste of mild cheddar. We sat outside on the back patio. The front patio has relatively nice seating but it was too windy and the tables were kind of filthy so we moved to the back. The furniture on the back was all cheap plastic outdoor furniture, some of it «repaired» with duct tape, all of it covered in dust and dirt. At some point while we were drinking our wine, an employee came out with a rag and a plastic Miller Lite bucket, but after she left the tables were just as dirty. So yeah… the grounds and main hall are pretty but the wine is terrible, the cheese plates are a joke, and corners are cut everywhere. You would be much better off just enjoying a bottle of wine at home.

I discovered this winery using Unilocal. It is located out in the country with just a few signs directing the way. The venue has nice landscaping in the front of the building, with a pond and wooded area in the back. A great place for professional photographs. Very picturesque! Inside it’s rustic with a large stone fireplace. A wedding(or reception) was taking place when we arrived. The venue is oftentimes used for special events, per the owner. As for the wine, it was on the sweeter side but still good. I tried a grapefruit flavored wine, which was surprisingly tasty. I’ll likely give this place another try when in the area as I don’t believe there are any other wineries in the area nearby. Good find, Unilocal

Way, Way Way, out of the Way! Not much in the way of directional signs — paved roads — but worth the search. about 30 miles west from Terre Haute. We celebrated St Patty’s at the winery, a murder mystery dinner and some wine, finally selecting a bottle each of the sparkling wines to compliment our catered meal. The place was full and the mystery was deliteful! Next one is May 4th. Seriously consider attending. Beautiful building, nice great room with big fireplace, high walls of wood and very nice landscaped patio, lake and outside sitting area. Warning: the patio is a smoking area and that ruined it for others. They have a nice selection of wines — mostly sweet, all under $ 20 a bottle. The Minuet had an off taste to our group and that was the only disappointment of the evening. All had good flavor and a nice finish, and you could not go wrong with any selection(except for us the Minuet). My ONLY negative, the acoustics are awful, the beautiful hall is like a big gym and the acoustics are terrible. A loud table of boisterous folks on the far side/end of the room might as well be sitting at your table. Table conversation is very hard to conduct, Something should be done about the reducing the ambient noise level. Don’t hide the beautiful finished walls, but banners, a sound curtains along the ceiling line, something please. A common complaint among the guests. I asked a couple of others, ditto. I liked the wines and the evening and that is why we will return for the friday night music and a nice afternoon motorcycle ride/picnic. And the murder mystery dinner.

Castle Finn opened in 2010 and it has been a regular with the locals. The building is beautiful and has a large space for weddings and dinner banquets. Wine selections are quite extensive but they mostly focus on sweeter varieties. If you’re ever there, I would highly recommend Moonlight Minuet or Rocky Branch Sparkle for a floral sweet white wine. The 100% Rhubarb wine is quite pleasant as well.
