Horrible horrible horrible service. I’ve been waiting at the drive thru for more than 15 minutes. Left with getting our money back and no food.

This is good food. JG score of 5⁄10(+2 for food, 0 for atmosphere, +1 for price, +1 for fountain Diet Dr Pepper, 0 for service and +1 for we like to return) Our favorites here are the fried fish, the baked chicken is really good and the green beans. We also like the chicken salad especially on their rolls. This food is good. Chicken Tenders here are actually 3rd behind fish and baked chicken for us. The atmosphere is nice. It is a lot better than many fast food places. They do have fountain Diet Dr Pepper! The service can be the weak link here. Sometimes fast and friendly and sometimes you wonder what is going on back there. We like to return here at least once a month.

I have eaten at your restaurant many times with my family. It’s clean, and the people there have always been nice. I like the music, and the free ice-cream cones for my kids. However something has gone amiss at the golden chick. I would say since it opened the ice cream machine has worked about 40% of the time and it is broken about 60%. I often go there with my kids specifically because of this free ice cream perk you offer. It’s been a disappointment to my kids many times. I really stopped going regularly because you can’t keep a working machine there. I tried your restaurant today after many month of not going just because of the«bait and switch» ice cream issue. Here is what I experienced. The clerk was very nice. However I tried to order the 9 piece and they told me I could but no roasted chicken was available. I went to your restraint because my doctor told me not to eat the fried foods. So that was disappointing. Since I am in a hurry I went ahead and order the fried. I am supposed to drive to the Beaumont area today. I have to travel for my wife brothers funeral. My son ben orders a three piece chicken stip. I went to sit down and as usual the ice cream machine was not working. «Typical» I thought to myself. The punch machine was also empty. I don’t usually drink that. The ice machine for the drinks did not work so you had to get ice from the clerks, which meant you had to go wait in line again. Then when you had ice the drink machine said«sorry out of order.» Then the cokes were all flat and tasted like they had a 10% syrup to water mixture, the other customer next to me said. So I thought I would just drink water. The water shares an outlet with the red coke. When I accidentally pressed the red coke dispenser it would not turn off. I had to turn it on and off about 7 times before it stopped. I did get some water after waiting for it to run clear again, however it never did so I had to deal with pink water or no water at all. My son noticed the napkin machine had about 1⁄16 of an inch of a stack of napkins left. Thought to myself since I am in a hurry today I guess I could eat some of the 9 piece and drink the pink water with no ice. This is when I started to eat the chicken and noticed it had that old taste, as if someone waited far to long to cook it. It is sort of an oily tuna taste. I know this taste because I had some chicken that I cooked at home and it was a little to old. This chicken had It the same taste. I know for sure it was old chicken but I ate one piece before I decided I couldn’t eat this. It just was too icky. I tried my sons chicken tenders and the seemed to be ok. It’s been about thirty min since I at the chicken and I thought I was going to throw up. I took some Pepto and am laying down at a time when I need to complete the packing and get the kids in the car. I do not want to be late for the funeral tomorrow. I saw at the restaurant a few tables with uneaten chicken on plates. I believe a lot of people had the same issue as I did and they just left. They will not likely write you about it, they just will never go back and they will tell others about how bad it was. I am sure the chicken is going to make others sick as well. I remember when your restaurant opened it had a huge line of cars wanting to get chicken. It still has business, just not like before. It has tapered off dramatically. I used to be in customer service in Dallas and Austin and have managed two different limo services.(I am 51) I know that the public will forgive some things but not for long. I know that a dissatisfied customer tells many more people about their experience than a satisfied one. As a customer I expect you to have in stock the things you have on your menu. I expect all the food machines to work. I also expect the restaurant to serve chicken that will not make me sick. Today I have been disappointed with what should be just the normal standards of a restaurant. You have caused me a lot of grief today and I thought you should know about it. Please fix your restaurant, I used to like it.

6:30PM+ Friday night_no one in line waiting+ 6 teenagers working in back= NOCHICKENREADY. Order to dine in. 20 minutes later received food. Gave lighting at the counter $ 20.20 cash for the bill of 15.13. Received 7 cents back. I told her she gave me correct change. She said sorry and apologized for the mistake after she ran it through her calculator. I worry for the future of our country.
