If you are driving in the mountains of Western North Carolina outside of Asheville and you happen to stumble upon a quaint little bar that serves up good food and great music in Marshall… it has to be Good Stuff. In the State where about half of the counties are still«dry» little mountain towns like Marshall are an oasis for those seeking to imbibe on a few adult beverages. Located in the center of town I frequent it when I’m heading up to my cabin at Max Patch for a little drink… sometimes a little live music… and other times for a little people watching. My family hails from the hollars near the Tennessee border so the folks around here are nice and fun… this town also housed a large artist community so you’ll never know who you might run into here. There is an outdoor area to the right of the stage that… if a train comes by… will feel like you are sitting right on the tracks. A diamond in the rough of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.

Only spent about fifteen min here on a Friday night a couple weeks ago. Would have definitely stayed longer but I had to work the next morning. Dropped in after having supper across the street. Had heard good things about the place from the guys at the Tattoo shop down the street. It is really similar to a scaled down version of the Orange Peel in Asheville. Really high ceilings in a really cool old building with a lot of character. Will definitely make a trip back when I can enjoy an entire show. They serve hot food like tacos and lasagna and have a long bar to belly up to with a selection of beers.
