The place doesn’t look like much, it’s fairly obvious that it used to be a fast food place, and in some ways it’s run like one. You go up to the counter, place your order, and pay for your meal. That’s were the similarity to fast food ends. While the food is ready in a couple of minutes, it’s freshly prepared and delivered to your table. The food may have not been the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten, but it’s very good, and the price is incredibly reasonable. Yes, there are a lot of vegetables with most of the entrees, as some people complain about. And yes, that is what real Chinese food really is. The brown rice was a very nice touch. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant for a romantic dinner, then this wouldn’t be a place I would recommend. However, if you were passing through, as I was, and you wanted a place to have a delicious meal without having to wait a long time or spend a lot of money, then this is a really good option.

A dimly lit delight. My visit was around 7:30 on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was full of mouth-watering aromas. Service was friendly, quick, and concise. After ordering cashew chicken and hot & sour soup, my order was cooked within eyesight and served promptly. The dish was served with perfectly steamed brown rice. The entrée was rich and savory, With just a hint of sweetness like what you get with caramelized onions. It was LOADED with veggies that seemed to be fresh. A perfect portion for about eight dollars. My one point of dissent is the hot & sour soup. It lacked both hot and sour. It was weak. You could almost call it an enhanced egg drop soup. The texture of hot & sour is all there, but this soup needs work on flavor. The bottom line: my entrée was well-balanced and service was great. Despite the soupfail, I don’t see any reason I shouldn’t visit Peking again. Try the cashew chicken!

Love this place! Very clean, friendly staff, fast service. The House specialty Lo Mein is my favorite. The pork fried rice and egg rolls are great!

Just moved to Marshall from Florida. I very much enjoyed their Sweet and Sour Chicken with all the vegetables. Florida’s SSC consists of chicken and red sauce. Definitely my new favorite place!

I ordered twice cooked pork to-go. Twice cooked pork is suppose to be a thin and fatty slice of pork but the slices they gave me were chewy. It just seemed like the pork was drenched in sauce. Also, over 80% of the dish were a variety of vegetables, also drowned in the pork sauce. While eating vegetables is good, I was definitely expecting at least a decent amount of pork since the dish name does not hint at anything related to greens. And surprise, surprise, the sauce overflowed into the togo bag as well. The staff was friendly and attentive. And the food came out within 10 minutes. Overall, however, this place is definitely not considered authentic Chinese food.

I love this place. It’s hard to find a good Chinese food place that isn’t fake tasting(Panda Express). So when I do find one I go back. And I will be coming back to Peking. The atmosphere is not what you’d expect if you go to bigger Chinese food places but it’s clear they spend all of their time on the food. The staff is very polite and the food is great. I will recommend this place to all of my friends.

I used to like this place until one time I saw a small roach crawling on the wall while eating there. It makes me worry that the kitchen isn’t much cleaner. Marshall does not have a good Asian place, avoid all of them.

I love that I come to this establishment and they greet you with a huge smile and you’re also greeted by the smell of that delicious aroma. Its resonably priced and the food is amazing, I suggest the house fried rice. Try it!!!
