So much fun on the river. Water levels were a little low so not as much Rapids but the rapids we did go down were a lot of fun! My husband and I did the half day with lunch, lunch was good; we stopped at a pull off on the river. I would definitely suggest this as something to do when visiting the area. Our guide was very funny and knowledgeable or the river and the history

I went on a ½ day float with my two daughters(6 and 8yo). It was our first float. The guide, Marshall was great. He told us historical stories about the river and mountains. He was very professional and we felt safe and secure. His experience guiding rivers spanned Colorado, Montana, Idaho, and NC. The float included two stops — one to cliff dive, which my 8yo can’t stop talking about and one to swim in the river. It was a great trip and I highly reccommend it.

If you are looking for a ½ day or full day to raft on the French Broad this is a great place to use for your outing. Our guide, Tim, was the best. He was very knowledgeable about the history of where we were at, had some great stories to share as we rafted, and had the BEST sense of humor. This made our ½ day adventure that much more exciting. Your guide is really what makes or breaks your rafting experience and I could not have been any happier so thumbs up to USA Raft!!! This place can and will accommodate just about any situation. I had family in from Texas and we had a participant that was paraplegic. No worries here they made accommodations for him and honestly probably enjoyed the trip the most however we all had the best time and will do the full day with lunch on our next adventure out. Kids of all ages will love the ½ day adventure and this leg of the river is a great starter for anyone that is starting out nothing too difficult.

Had a great time! Tried the«lazy» French Broad River first with Chris(Guide) and had fun, decided to kick it up a notch on the Nolichucky… requested Chris and had a great time(although very wet) again. I would highly recommend Chris as your guide!

The Goat went on a raft… the Goat fell off of a raft… Goats don’t float so well in the river. Goat mostly had a fun time with the raft but not many Vegan options on this stretch of river. Many people smoking the cannabis plant on this trip but they were very frustrated as they actually had to do work by paddling or the whole raft would have smashed into the rocks. Goat was glad to see lazy hippies finally being forced to work for their survival and it made his heart very happy as the Goat works hard and thinks others should to!

If you see my review of USA Raft on the Nantahala, this location is just the opposite. Where I said the other location was more boutique than cattle car, this location is more cattle car then boutique. We had a total of 6 riders on the Nantahala. On the French Broad we had 38 scheduled, but 18 were late and to the op’s credit they didn’t make the other 20 wait too long for them before they left. As for the rivers, everyone says that the French Broad is more difficult than the Nantahala with 1 – 3 vs 1 – 2. Maybe this is just perception but it seems the opposite to me. Maybe the Nantahala is less«technical» but it’s much more fun.
