The billboards are more impressive then the food. Nice, clean, large dining area. But the food wasn’t very good at all. Lobster was rubbery and tasted like it would of been better the night before. Filet even had a strange taste. I can say we have checked it out and will be moving onto something else.

have visited Alaska pete’s a few times now. first time we walked in and 2 or 3 employees looked at us and continued on with what they were doing. we thought«maybe we walked in the wrong door». we wandered over to the other side of the restaurant and were met with empty tables and no humans… o.k. so we go back to where we came in and stood there looking stupid for a while before someone finally acknowledged our presence. food was simply ok and seemed to take forever. after being served, our waitress disappeared until she delivered the check. no asking if everything was to our liking, no drink refills, didn’t ask if we wanted dessert. I only go back because my gf like the place. if it wasn’t for that, i’d be happier going to mickey d’s.

Expensive in relation to the area. Also menu choices do not constitute prices and serving sizes.

Excellent food, excellent service! Came down to the area for a few days of shopping with friends and based on recommendations from some locals decided to visit Alaska Pete’s. We were not disappointed. Michael our server was very attentative and served our meals timely. Quality of the food was very good. Everything was fresh and served hot. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone especially visiting the area.

A little pricey but i enjoyed every aspect of my meal, I’d go back. From the salad bar to the regular bar, I thought the selection was fine, the food cooked to order, and the drinks brought promptly… considering my group was easily 12 people I thought the service was great and the portions were good… all in all worth the visit.

this is a cute place and the services was good. We stopped in a few months back and were told that they pretty much had no food left, at around 9pm on a friday night. Oh well on to Wendys for dinner… We figured that this is the time that we will give them another try and see how it goes. this is a cute place and the services was good. They were voted the best burger at some point in time. I can tell you that that time is not now. The burger wasnt bad but it was by very far the best. It was a standard frozen beef patty. I actually left wishing that we hit Wendys up again :-(

HORRIBLE! Just plain horrible. Sat down with my fiancé for an early dinner. All was good at first. There was a fly flying around. But we didn’t pay it any attention As this happens sometimes. As we get our soup we notice more flies, our meal came quick we didn’t even get a chance to finish our soups when we counted 8 flies on our table and more flying around. We asked the waitress to move our seat and her answer was: «it won’t help, they’re everywhere». So moving was pointless. We tried to make the best of it. However, it was just too disgusting to stay. We called the manager over, she apologized. I told her that we are leaving and since we didn’t even finish our soups we will not be paying for the meal as flies are all over. She understood but we left. Worst part is that we drove over 30 minutes out of our way to go to Alaska Petes as it was recommended. This does not fly!

DONOT get the ribs! 1 st time in my life I ever sent food back! It was not only not fall off the bone, I struggled to cut with a knife and they were inedible. service was nice but very slow. Worst ribs ever made. Will never go back to this place. And to make matters worse, I received an automated phone call at 3:30am waking myself and 2 family members up from the same number I called the reservation to.

This place sucked. The food sucked, the hostess sucked, the waitress sucked, even the background music sucked. The family and I on our way home from bushkill falls, decided to stop here for a late lunch on Mother’s day. When we entered we were asked if we had a reservation, when we said no the hostess looked at us like we were nuts. She told us she would see what she could do. As I look to the right side of the dinning hall it was completely empty. After 5 minutes she came back with a look of disgust on here face and preceded to sit us on the left side of the dinning hall which to our surprise was also empty. Then our server who was also in a pissy mood came over and quickly and rudely took our order. The food sucked bad, I had a burger and fries neither were edible. And for some god awful reason the were playing r&b music from the mid 90’s.

Very nice meal. 3 minutes to be seated. Our server Stacey took the drink order fast. Meals came out fast. Food was tasty and good portion. Wife had crab cakes, daughter had butterfly shrimp and I had chicken and ribs. All was very good. Chocolate cake for dessert was delicious.

The bad: At Great Wolf Lodge, there is an advertisement stating to visit Alaska Pete’s and get %10 off if you show your wristband. When I arrived my waitress(Melinda) wasn’t aware of this. Service by Melinda wasn’t rude but wasn’t friendly either. Just blah. But she was VERY slow. She may have had too many tables. The«double cut» lollipop lamb chops are not. Turn on the«Food Network» boys because you guys are lying cause they are single cut. And your mint glaze is essentially mint jello. Not appetizing. They ran out of mashed potatoes and just give me a baked potato. I flag down the waitress(this takes a while cause she was slow) and tell her. Her response, «oh you did? Ummmm oh they ran out of mashed potatoes.» Soooo you didn’t bother to ask me what else I would like, you just felt I should have a baked because it’s the easiest thing the kitchen could slap on my plate to get that ticket done. Small beer selection. The good: The wings were delicious. The lamb did taste good but slightly over cooked the thinner pieces. The atmosphere was interesting. I had a tv in my booth. Cool. All in all, their entire staff from servers to(especially) kitchen need retraining. Until then there are other, better places to spend your money here in the Poconos.

Under staffed.(Not even busy at all only 4 tables) Waited about 45 minutes for two burgers and fries. People sat after us got food before us. Then when the burgers came out it was undercooked, told the waitress and she pretty much said oh well. Very unhappy with the place. And way over priced for the food you get.

Had lunch at AP’s today. The place is great, nice décor and its a shame that business has dropped off since they re-routed RT209. I got the grilled chicken. What’s disappointment! Although the food was good and everyone else at my table enjoyed their meal there was almost no meat on the sandwich. You get more chicken on the dollar menu at Wendy’s! It was shameful! I’m writing this in hopes that Alaska Petes will read it and change their practice. Good Luck AP, but put some food on the plate or you will be out of business before you know it!

This was a nice find. Indoor /Outdoor seating. Cool ambience. Good service. Surprisingly, the food came out really fast. I had the Captain’s Platter. ABSOLUTELYPERFECT! This place has me wanting to come back to this area even after a rough day.

Food is always«spot on» whether we dine in or take out. Our reliable restaurant whenever we’re staying in the area for weekend ski trips.

Stopped at this place while visiting the Poconos and all I can say it was awful. Ordered the large salad and wife ordered a small the only difference was about 3 dollars but her small salad had croutons while my large one didn’t. Go figure. It ended up not mattering as I took a bite of one of the few pieces of only iceberg lettuce that wasn’t wilted and it was freaking warm so I thought well maybe this pale tomato won’t be that bad. Worst tomato I ever had and I had to spit it out into my napkin. Now normally I would just push the salad aside and hope that my meal would be better but it was so bad we just asked for the check and left. The real kicker our waitress didn’t ask why we just decided to leave nor did a manager come to ask what the problem was. Maybe it happens so often they weren’t surprised or they just didn’t care.

We visited here for lunch this past weekend. We had driven up to stay at Pocono Palace. Although we had the all inclusive pkg at the resort… they do not serve sit down lunch so we were on our own. It was sort of hard to find. The GPS says it is on the wrong street it is actually just off of the roundabout. Its better to look for the blue road signs. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated with an eclectic collection of statues and wood tables and chairs. The service was quick and pleasant. my husband had the captains platter… lobster tail, bacon wrapped scallops, mussels and a nice sized piece of salmon as well as a big baked potato, all were well seasoned and cooked. For a Floridian he enjoyed it as much as he does the seafood we have at home. I was not as brave, having chicken tenders, green beans and a baked potato. The tenders were crisp and not over breaded, the green beans were so fresh they still had some snap and the baked potato was excellent. This was just plain old good food. Not fancy but well prepared and enjoyable. We were so hungry from our drive up I forgot to take pics of the food LOL.

My Fiancé and I stumbled across Alaska Pete’s while in the Delaware Water Gap area for a weekend of leisure only by taking note of one of their advertisement and coupon pamphlets at another local shop. We weren’t sure what to expect for appearance, but their online menu looked very promising. Well, I must say, we were VERY pleased! For a restaurant out in the middle of nowhere, Pete’s has a very new and modern restaurant vibe, complete with all of the themed decorations that set the good restaurants apart when menus are comparable. The menu was great, and the ambiance was wonderful. We sat next to the floor to ceiling stone fireplace in the family room. This room has a bar that is complete with a roof designed to give the appearance of being an outside venue. Almost best of all was our waitress, who couldn’t have been any more friendly and was perfectly able to relate and start a wonderful short conversation. If you’re not into this, I’m sure you would be fine, but for a relaxing weekend escape it was nice to be able to just have a friendly chat with a local. Pros: Great Food, Friendly Wait Staff, Attractive Decorations and Ambiance Cons: Not a great location…

I would considered this somewhat of a theme restaurant. From the name, one can tell it’s going to be featuring Alaska. The menu have a little background of the gold rush and the décor reflect that era — a little antique-ish looking. I ordered the Philly cheese steak. Is this the best one I had? No. Is it the worst? Not really. The place is a bit slow so don’t come here if you are in a hurry.

The waiter was friendly. The banana raspberry diaquri was delicious. Just don’t use your gps to get here. the lobster bisque is to die for. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I couldn’t decide between lobster bisquev clams or cheesesteak. The soup was very hot. I don’t like the cocktail sauce. It was spicy the shrimp and clam appetizer was husband really liked the fish and chips. It was good but I l preferred the clam stuffed shrimp.
