Mignosi’s Super Foodtown

Not impressed. We planned on buying our groceries for the whole week but only bought what was necessary to hold us over until we could go to another store. Prices were high. Selection wasn’t great.

Rip-off…big time with poor selection. Produce does not look fresh. Seriously, how are they still in business when better options are available.

i shopped at this store twice when I was in the area and found the employees and management to be rude. Easy solution, i took my business elsewhere.

This grocery store is great for its fresh cut meat on site by the butchers. Their deli has a great selection of Boars Head items and great sales on other name brands. Their seafood dept. has a great selection of fresh seafood. I shop here on a daily basis and everyone is always helpful. I have also received catering from this grocery store. Food tastes great everytime! Great selection of beer too! Store and bathrooms are clean, that matters to me. I live in the area and have tried price chopper. Their prices are the same and most of the time higher. I continue to shop at Foodtown for the selection.

We were very disappointed and it’s sad to see… We’ve been going to Mignosi’s for a while now and even when price chopper came into town with significantly more selection and better prices we still from time to time maintained a level of loyalty to this grocery store.
However what we saw today will make us never go there ever again. While walking through the fish aisle a child pointed out to his father that the lobsters displayed on the ice were still alive. Curious, I walked over to examine and they were. They had 7 – 10 living lobsters out of the normal aquarium and just sitting for anyone to touch, pet, and poke on ice as they suffered gasping for air. One had even died and lay there as the other lobsters continued to suffer. Now I’m not an animal rights activist. I eat steak, beef, lobster. But there is a humane way of doing so and an inhumane way.
I asked someone at the deli to call over a manager who explained to me that it’s perfectly legal for them to do so and pointed out to me that the lobsters become «dormant» while on ice … No– they’re numb doofus. I asked why they didn’t have an aquarium like every other supermarket in the entire world that sells live lobster and he explained that they simply chose not to.
Now I get this is a local grocery, and I get budget constraints. However, if you’re not equipped to maintain a live animal properly and humanly then you simply should not sell it.
We will never return to Mignosi’s after this poor display of decision making.

There’s no likes or dislikes about this place for me… I felt like it was mordant… looks like any supermart… I did however like the wide variety of alcohols… they are certain flavors that I look for in alchole stores and supermarkets that they always don’t seem to ever have… And this place has all the flavors I wanted and more… About nine different flavors of Smirnoff … Love the peach flavor smirnoff. yummy got the new tropical flavor as well tasted like fruit punch… the person that work there was really helpfully… Kind and attentive… I didn’t have to ask and she imidetly came over and helped me… Also bought water… great sales going on that day… I got Poland spring 24 pack for three bucks… I usually have to pay five six dollars for 24 pack of bottled water…

awe I love this place! why are the stars so low? they have booze and a great selection on everything. prices are a bit higher then everywhere else I shop in NJ but when you’re the only thing in the area, you can do that! and having the «super food town price plus card» is great!

I had to give it 5 stars just to bump up the rating from the idiots that have no clue what they are talking about. If you know how to shop (which apparently the other reviewers don’t) the prices here are even better than the new Price Chopper down the road. Sure I tried the new Price Chopper, but I will be sticking with the place I’ve shopped for years, Mignosi’s Foodtown. Even if it is 5 minutes out of my way. Well worth it unless I’m just picking up a gallon of milk.
The cold cuts at The Price Chopper are complete crap. They are processed and pre-​packaged. Mignosi’s has nice, store cooked turkey and roast beef. Some of the best you’ll ever taste.
And just for the record, I have never had a problem parking and I’ve been going there for 10 years. Even when they were doing renovation parking wasn’t an issue.

Way too overpriced. Go down the block to the Weis in marshalls creek or the opening soon price chopper. I avoid this place as much as possible. Parking is a nightmare and good luck going here on the weekends or summer when the New York crew is in the poconos.
