I figured it’s about time I review some of my favorite doctors in the area. I know how hard it is to find a doctor that while knowledgeable, thorough and helpful, still has a nice/kind personality and doesn’t make you feel rushed or that you’re just a number. *Seriously, I «doctor-jump» more than I probably should, but I’m somewhat compulsive about finding doctors that I really love. «Doctor-jump» conjures up a bit of an amusing image, no?* So it’s definitely time to review one of my favorites, Dr. Jamie Delugan. I’ll preface this review by saying that I’m not technically a patient of Dr. Delugan’s. He’s actually my husband’s and(step)daughter’s optician. But I feel I can give him an honest and fair review because 1) I am always in the room with the kid when he does the exam; *She actually likes me in the room… and she’s a TEENAGER! Ha! How special do I feel? :0)* and 2) if I didn’t feel like I would be cheating on my opthamologist of many years and didn’t totally love her, I’d see Dr. Delugan in a second. Dr. Delugan gets a solid 5 stars. He’s extremely kind, patient, gentle, thorough, efficient, professional and personable. He’s just a great eye doctor. I feel that his exams are always very thorough, and he’s just a really sweet guy. Great with kids and adults, which is a total plus. Capeway Opticians itself gets about 4 stars. It’s a nice office, bright, clean, warm/welcoming *not intimidating*. The reception staff are very nice, it’s easy *surprisingly, actually* to schedule an appointment that’s not months away, and it’s right on Rt. 139. The only negative, sorta nit-picky thing I should mention is that their overall prices for new lenses(for glasses), pairs of new glasses, etc. seem really high. I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Delugan for your exam, and unless you’re in a real hurry for your glasses, get them elsewhere. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is for the high product prices. Definitely«see» *HA! See, cuz he’s an EYE doctor! Ahhh…* Dr. Delugan for all of your eye health needs.
