In search of a cinnamon bun, I struck out elsewhere and ended up here only when I drove by it when leaving Humarock. It was almost noon, but they had one bun left. Yay! It was swirly and sweet, but not too sweet. Just the right amount of sugar and cinnamon. The bun itself was just hard enough but not too hard. Every bite was good — and how often can you say that about food? I can’t say anything about the rest of the food but the service was quick and friendly and the parking was easy. I’ll be back the next time I’m in the mood for a cinnamon treat.

Coffee is not bad, but the donuts are not very good. More like bread then doughnut, but the people are friendly and service is fine.

Maybe just a bad day? The donuts were horrible — cold — tasted more like from a box than freshly made. I arrived at 9am on a Saturday. Personal Donut Street Cred: Donut Plant, Top Pot, Lamar’s, Kanes. I know a good donut. This was not even close.

Love Dockside Donuts. This is an excellent little non-chain coffee and donuts place over by Humarock Beach. Super nice people. A cool little hangout scene going on. Excellent.

Oh Dockside Donuts, how locals adore thee. You fill our tummies with delicious donuts and provide us with the news of whether or not the Sox have won. You have friendly service and basic lunch variety, but you close so gosh darn early! What do I mean by all of these? Well, Mina is right– Dockside is an independent donut shop that is still alive and kicking. They are also very kind about donating extra donuts. Every morning, the shop owner puts out the flags. If the Sox won the day before, there will be a Sox flag out. If not, then no go. The guys and gals here are all very friendly and they know their customers! The lunch menu is cheap and basic– lunch meats and chicken salad pretty much. Get there early because you won’t have much luck after 2pm! You won’t pay much for a breakfast or lunch here, but you’ll get a feel for the local flavor and you’ll leave satisfied. :-)
