I been choosing famous over manny’s because I thought the place maybe better. I was wrong, but places are pretty bad to eat at. The service here is bad. They do not listen when you place order and sometimes give you the wrong food. Today, I found 4 bones in my steak sub. When I question the staff about it, he looked at it like its normal and not the first time that he heard that. They did not offer me another sub to replace it. I will never come here anymore.

Buff chix mac cheese Calzone was a good time along with the rest of the pizzas(caesar, white, french fry) bit greasy though.

I love this place. Great gluten free pizzas(bought crusts, I believe, but still…). Huge salads. This is our go-to pizza place in the south shore. Tips: have them confirm your order over the phone after you place it, I’ve had a couple of mix ups. If you’re nearby, pick up your called-in pizza order. Delivery time can be lengthy. Try to find coupons… it’s a tad pricey. Give em a try tho, yum!

OK, not terrible pizza. I would definitely call it Greek pizza, not Italian pizza. The sauce is too sweet, the crust was limp and kind of undercooked. There are certainly better pizzas in town to be had.

Grew up in Marshfield and have watched the size of the place and the menu explode. Been going since the 80’s. Loved stopping here after my shift at El Torito’s that used to be where the 99 is now in Pembroke so I am really dating myself. I would have loved to give 4 or 5 stars but what has stopped me is the consistency. Sometimes the food us dead on perfect from a gourmet Fiesta Pizza, that one time came with potato chips on top and not tortilla chips as the menu states. To the gourmet calzones that have come burnt or missing ingredients. When they do it right, it is perfect. Never found it greasy as someone else mentioned but have had my share of errors and at top prices($ 18) for most gourmet pizzas I don’t expect it to come burnt or with missing or wrong ingredients. I will however add that on the rare occasion that I actually picked up the phone because I was that upset they do try to make the customer happy. I will continue to go there and will update my star rating and review if the consistency of the food improves. We have had Pizzas like the Fiesta, Mac and Cheese, Meat Lovers and others as well as Philly Cheese Steak, Meat Lovers and Chicken Parm Calzones along with Grinders and Starters. All in all with its huge menu and friendly management and staff I would recommend Marshfield Famous Pizza.

I’ve been going to Famous for 30+ years, they’re better now than they’ve ever been. Reuben n Fries is huge, Pizzas are good, buff wings & tenders are awesome. We have never been disappointed by the portions or prices here. Where else can you get table service with cheap beverages & no tip? I always throw the girls a few bucks anyway but best value on the South Shore for family friendly place

For the life of me, I can’t understand why this place has such terrible reviews. They by far have the best pizza in the area, and such creative pizzas! You want tortilla chips and ground beef on your pizza? There’s a pizza for you! You want shrimp scampi on your pizza? They can make that happen! I will say their pizzas are a bit pricy, but I love that you can get a pasta combo with meatballs, chicken parm, AND eggplant parm for like $ 12! Their employees have always been super nice to me, as have the drivers. They have an amazing dessert menu, and their Cobb salad is BOMB. I just don’t get all the hate! The only thing I’ve ever had that I didn’t like was their burritos, but ordering a burrito from an Italian place, you really can’t expect much. Seriously, give one of their weird pizzas a shot. And have their lemon cream cake for dessert! Yum!

This is probably the worst pizza I have ever had! I just recently got it just because they delivered and I needed something quick. What a pile of sloppy grease.

Food is good, when they get the order correct! I go here for lunch from time to time and they never have any slices available? That’s the simplest sell, so I don’t know why they don’t have a slice pizza ready a the time. Also, at least 50% of the time I’ve been there, they got something wrong with the order. Today I called ahead for a sub that I asked to be toasted and I asked if they had slices today, and they actually did! So I asked to have one cheese put aside for me. Needless to say when I got there, there was no slice put aside for me and they were out! Also the girl answering the phone was rude several times, just in the way she handled herself on the phone. She put me on hold without asking, then started talking to someone else while I was in the middle of ordering! I then asked for my sub and they obviously forgot it too, since the girl couldn’t find it and spoke quietly with the cook. So I then asked another girl to make sure the toasted it like it asked since I know they were just making it then. She said they did. Once again, of course they did not. This is not unusual at all for this place! Like I said, the food is good, they just need to train their people better

Famously terrible pizza. Two stars because the subs and burgers aren’t bad but nothing to get excited for. Marshfield needs a good Italian pizza joint. While I’m not a big fan of Greek style pizza I have had good Greek pizza. Getting a good pie at Famous is like asking the Greek government to balance their budget, just not gonna happen.

Great pizza. Here on vacation and needed to get into some air conditioning. Would go here again!

I spoke to the manager. Appears to be a combination of technical error with the online ordering system and an employee who needs more supervision or training or both. Manager was very apologetic and eager to resolve the problem. We’ll give it another try.

I was among the first customers when this place opened in 1976, and became a regular until I left town in 1984 for the service. Imagine my delight when yesterday, driving through town reminiscing I saw that they were still in business! I ordered the same sandwich I always had and after 31 years, it was still incredible. The ingredients were as fresh and flavourful as I remember and the grinder roll was absolutely perfectly toasted. Thanks for staying around, Famous! We will definitely be back soon!

After being ignored for 10 minutes we were able to order at the counter before sitting down in a booth to wait. We ordered a calzone, salad and pasta dish. While waiting for our food a server came up and down the seating area asking who ordered this buffalo chicken calzone and no one claimed it. When our food gets delivered 45 min later I am served that buffalo chicken calzone. I order buff chicken Mac and cheese calzone. It was cold and clearly they were trying to get away with giving me the one they made on accident. That is ridiculous because I had informed them of my food allergy which obviously was not taken in to consideration when making this calzone. I tried to eat it because the service was already so slow. Also our salad came with no dressing and we waiting 10 minutes for that to even get resolved. Never again.

So I have now ordered twice from this place. Both times pizza took more than a hour and a half, both times there was no manager to talk to about where it had gotten to when I called to ask what was taking so long. Both times no one knew whether it was on the way had been sent out yet or where the delivery driver was. Both times it arrived cold, both times I was left feeling they could not care less., last time I will order from them, real shame I’d rather help a local company than a chain but not if they don’t care don’t deliver and don’t have there customer service together. So we are now to 2 hrs two phone calls still no pizza I wonder if I will be getting a refund …

Hmmm… could they ever include more than 2 olives in their greek salad? A little slow but I know it is a favorite with the locals…

The food is good. The delivery is annoying. They can never hear you over the phone, they answer and immediately say«famous please hold» majority of the time, and they take forever. I live a mile or so away but it always take an hour. But the most annoying part is how they then ring the doorbell like 3 times and knock immediately. So annoying. Then the guy calls you«buddy» which is obnoxious.

Famous is my favorite place in Marshfield to buy pizza and calzones. If you are a meat lover, try the Daniel Webster calzone. So delicious.

*This review is solely based on delivery. In S. Duxbury, the only delivery option is Papa Gino’s, so when I found out Famous would deliver to my place, I was pumped. Last year we ordered a lot, and the food was well priced and consistent. plus the menu is HUGE. I recently moved back into town, and we placed an order for a sm. BBQ Chix Pizza and a sm. Cheese Calzone. The girl told me it would be 45 minutes for our food. An hour goes by, and I call back and the girl says there was a problem with where it was going(?), but the driver would be there in 5 minutes. 25 minutes later, the kid shows up with a smug look on his face. So an hour and 20 minutes after I called, I finally got to my food. It was cold, the BBQ pizza was extremely dry and my calzone was just Ehh. Maybe I would order from the shop, but I will never order delivery from these guys again.
