I have eaten here twice and have gotten sick both times, it is very mediocre, I can make better food from the frozen section at Walmart.

Seriously??? Chicken McNuggets bathed in soy sauce with a few cashews thrown in to make it legit… no thank you! I’m sorry I believed the glowing reviews. The egg roll had a weird chemical taste. I’m flushing it down the stool and headed to Sonic, at least I’m knowing what I’ll get there!

If a history was written of Springfield-Style Cashew Chicken… Mr. Lee would be it’s William Wallace. Not only is his cashew chicken the best around… he’s single-handedly bludgeoned any form of competition that’s ever been crazy enough to enter the market. Nevermind the fact he has no pubic restroom, it’s cash-only and seats about 20-people…it works. And it works very well. Treat yourself to this little Asian dive. You’ll love it… just like the Army of people already marching with him. Every man dies, not every man truly lives until he eats at Oriental Inn.

I’m hardly ever in Marshfield, I go maybe once or twice a year but this is always the first place I stop. My buddy told me how good this place is but I doubted it until I actually ate there. Menu is small, but everything on it is good. Hot and Spicy chicken is some of the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Give it a try, it’s pretty groovy!

I grew up in Marshfield. When I come back into town to visit family, there’s a compulsory visit to Oriental Inn. The Hot and Spicy chicken is Mr. Lee’s specialty. If you find yourself hungry in Marshfield I’d recommend checking this place out. Note: This is a cash only restaurant

We live near marshfield, so this was the closer option for Chinese. It was ok. I got the hot n spicy which had a teriyaki flavor and not very spicy. My husband got sweet n sour with hardly any sauce. The egg rolls were gross, but the crab rangoons were decent. The place was at least clean so that’s always a plus. It was ok overall.

The Oriental Inn is a Webster County landmark. Mr. Lee has always been busy in the back doing whatever he does all day, but every time he sees me at the counter, he smiles and asks«how you doing»? I have eaten his cashew chicken and hot & spicy for close to 20 years or better. I don’t even know when he opened shop. It just seems like he has always been there. I don’t live in the area anymore, but each week when I pass through, I have to stop at Oriental Inn and let Mr. Lee do his magic!

Having entered the world of Americanized, Springfield-style Cashew Chicken, what can you do but embrace it? I am fully aware that this is not really Chinese food but, it’s the Chinese food that I grew up on so, I still have a place in my heart for it’s deep fried goodness. That being said, Oriental Inn is my favorite place to get Cashew Chicken in Marshfield. They use big chunks of all-white chicken, deep-fry is so that it’s not greasy at all, and then serve it up for bargain prices. A jr meal is only 3.85 and a regular meal is only 4.95… that comes with rice or an eggroll. My dad even likes it… though he says he doesn’t like ‘Chinese food’. haha Oh, there’s extra parking behind the building. See ya there!

Great hot n spicy chicken. Awesome crab rangoon and pretty good egg rolls. This place has hometown charm when it comes to atmosphere. You would not expect to find Chinese food this good 20 miles NE of Springfield, MO. They do not have house hot mustard, but you really don’t need it.
