West 14th is a staple for us on our visits to Marshfield! They have a great selection of food and beer that has never disappointed us! We come to this town a couple times a year to visit family and always make sure to stop in for lunch or dinner. Their elk burger is a favorite along with their sweet potato fries.

I am in Marshfield, WI regularly on business & continue to be amazed at how some of the really good eating selections available. West 14th is an upscale restaurant upstairs from their great microbrew, Blue Heron. The food is consistently good, creatively cooked, & very well priced. Do yourself a favor & if you’re ever in or around Marshfield, go have dinner at West 14th, you won’t be disappointed!

I went here and it was not very crowded. Service was HORRIBLE! It took 1 hour and 35 minutes to get our entrée. Wait staff was not friendly and they rarely came to table. No one explained or apologized for the wait. The food came when I told them I /we were leaving. Some of the meals were cold. I spoke to the owners and they did nothing. I would avoid this place!!!

Overall: Great beer selection, tons of home-made brews right on tap, large menu selections for good prices! The Deets: Just came here for a large reception, hence a pre-ordered pasta meal. Very good food, but I cannot comment on the menu besides they have a large offering. But the real treat here(and a reason I will be swinging on by if i have another chance) are the astounding home-made microbrews. I tried the most delicious porter and russian IPA this side of heaven. Wisconsin is becoming famous for their microbrews, and West 14th is certainly continuing that tradition.

Outstanding food and service! For a classy night for dinner you cannot go wrong with this place. The meals all of us had in our party would say that the harmony of flavors was quite orgasmic! I highly recommend this place and will stop in again on my travels in Marshfield.

Again consulting Unilocal prior to going to a different city paid off! My wife and I first checked out Rotary Winter Wonderland. Then we cruised to West 14th Restaurant which is upstairs from the Blue Heron Brew Pub. My entrée was grilled shrimp with vegetables primavera. It was a very large amount. It was very good. The sauce was a bit overpowering. Part of the large piece of garlic bread had too much garlic on it. I give 4 stars to this entry. However the ambiance is very relaxing and quite tastefully decorated. Being a spacious place helps. 5 stars. My appetizer was the calamari which I give 5 stars in part because to the two contrasting very good dipping sauces. Breading excellent. I tasted my wife’s crab cake: excellent too. I had the clam chowder. It was a small cup but man was it excellent. 5 stars for that. No room for dessert this time. A person at the next table had a huge piece of chocolate cake. It looked very good. Overall 5 stars.

OMG! I cannot believe that we have not been to this place before! Well, we have been to the downstairs part(Brew Pub) for beer and such, but never to the fine dining upstairs. Boy…were we missing out! They had reasonable prices(it was less than $ 70 for the 4 of us – no drinks, but we had desert). They have a regular menu for the adults(around $ 20/plate) and a children’s menu as well! I had the Bistro Mignon wrapped in bacon in this onion cream sauce… it was awesome! My fiancé had Sicilian style Walleye. The boys had regular kids stuff… meatball-pasta marinara and hand breaded chicken tenderloins with waffle fries. But…the desert was the best part! OMFG! lol I got the raspberry glazed cheesecake… although it was wonderful, it was completely outshined by the chocolate cake everyone else had. It had all of these layers of different chocolate and tasted like heaven on a plate: P The boys were so well behaved and for a Tuesday night, the place had quite a few patrons! There were a few other tables of families(all with very well behaved children) and a random selection of other people. Had we gotten an appetizer and drinks, the meal would have been around $ 100 for our family of 4, but for special occasions it would be well worth it.

Great food, especially the pastas. The homemade desserts seem to change regularly and are top notch. If you like the beers from downstairs, you can get those at the restaurant to balance the meal. The staff is really nice and provided quick service. For ~$ 15 – 20 a person at dinner, definitely worth trying since all the dishes are high quality.

Love this place. Classy atmosphere — I like the artwork for sale around the restaurant. The dishes are truely gourmet — prob $ 15 – 20 per entrée, but worth it! The entrees are large, so no need order appetizers. The Prawn special they had recently was awesome! And that’s coming from somebody who lived on the coast for years and ate fresh seafood — the prawns were great! The bar is also very classy — I think it would be great to meet some friends there for happy hour at some point. The wine list was impressive — even the selection of the per-glass wine was excellent. Love the Malbec wine there. This place is highly recommended. We went to dinner on a week night at wasn’t too busy and were seated immediately.

Excellent place for an upscale dinner in Marshfield. Great wine bar — swanky bar area to chat with friends. Try the baked brie — absolutely divine! Ecellent meals with fun combinations and great presentation. When the downstairs(brew pub) is busy I like to come up to West 14th — you can order off the brew pub menu or the West 14th menu — best of both worlds. Has a small group private room as well as a big reception room that can be rented for events.
