Discount Liquors is probably still open cuz Lucky’s carries such an ina
–nodequate beer selection and they are pricey.
Discount’s a small store, not all beers/​micros priced. some priced reasonably.
–saw some cigars in humidors…

–smooth brew, once a fav, no more, tastebuds changed
–still a quality brew, a steal @1.99, tecate still a fav.

–cramped store, can’t study inventory without getting in someone’s way
–not all beers/​micros priced… some reasonably priced.

This is my «go to» liquor store even if I don’t go to the liquor store all that often. I usually pickup my booze from a large retail store where it’s much cheaper. Although after coming here, I found that the prices aren’t too much different. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here but I’m glad it’s nearby.
Whenever I want to grab a few lotto tickets, this is the place I’ll usually stop off at. Of course I never win but you can’t blame that on the store. If you’re into scratchers, they have a ticket available in pretty much every denomination available.
What’s most surprising for me is that their beer selection is both relevant and plentiful. Normally a tiny liquor store such as this would have more dust on the bottles than anything else. Fortunately coupled with their good selection, the prices are quite reasonable as well. For example: A 12pk of Sierra Nevada 4-​Way IPA was only $ 14.99. A good price for something that many stores aren’t even carrying yet.
The guy working the counter is a friendly chap, always eager to trade a few comments about the latest brews while you pay for your latest find or your usual bottle of booze.

These guys are always on a break. I kid you not, out of the 6 times I’ve been here 4 times there is a note on the door saying «out on break will be back in 20 minutes», REALLY? Can it be that big of a coincidence? I don’t get it, but whatever they’ve got cigars and alcohol.
