SENIORS BEWARE! Your blue handicap placard does not give you free parking at lots owned by PARK SMART. It only works in the spots designated by the blue handicap parking stalls. There are no signs that regular DMV regulations don’t apply at this lot where you can park at any meter with a blue placard and not pay for parking. instead they just have confusing signs that read Private Parking and right beneath this «public Parking Pay». Preying on senior citizens who might not see or understand this sign, it means they are privately owned and they make up their own rules… they are not going to warn you, they will just give you a $ 30 ticket. REAL considerate of our seniors on fixed incomes with mobility problems. We found this out when we parked at the Cheese Factory’s lot. The valet one. So I hope you get to read this before it happens to you… pass it on to your family’s seniors.
